This needs to happen. It's not much of a Star Wars movie without Williams' score.
It's sad that the movie is even a possibility without the man doing the score.
Excellent news. I wonder if his normal composer will still be involved at all, though? He's never done a film without Michael Giacchino, but then again this is star wars.
If he doesn't the movie will be incomplete.
yessssss

It could be a joint effort, but I'm thinking it'll just be Williams here.
Well I remember seeing that Giacchino wanted Williams on the soundtrack as well so.
even just having him there in the advising role would be fine with me. dudes old

It's Star Wars.
John Williams does the music for Star Wars.
Come on John, one last time man. For the road.
And so it begins,

Who else would do it? Hans Zimmer? pfft
That's good. John Williams is a great composer.
this still wont make the movie awsome if george lucas has any say in script writing

Two different types of scoring. Don't be daft by trying to compare them. They're both brilliant musicians, but in different ways.

Abram's frequent collaborator, Michael Giacchino.

I still feel like the new movie is going to be a terrible dissapointment, but at least it might be a bad movie with a great soundtrack.
