I'm a council socialist but I've read about anarchism to know that it's a swell idea that died out for the most part along with so many other political theories of that time. There are still anarchist writers out there and all (Noam Chomsky, is the one I recall best), but you get what I mean. Anyways, I'm messing about on facebook and one of my friends sends me a youtube link telling me this bunch of emo/goth kids at my school made a youtube video, calling themselves the anarchist kids.

I recommend you have some brain bleach available, you will rage face. They don't even understand how anarchism works, it doesn't mean no laws, it means no rulers, no leaders. They even went against that, since they deleted a shitload of negative comments about how batshit retarded they were. None of them have ever even read any anarchist works, they didn't know who Max Stirner was, who Emma Goldman was, who William Godwin or Noam Chomsky was, etc. For them it's basically a fucking fashion statement, and it's pretty disgusting. Anarchists everywhere would be feeling ashamed.
Want to know why Anarchy wouldn't ever be a good thing? One word.
Somalia.
Oh, the idea of anarchy is great, and it actually could work - on paper. But then bring human beings into the equation, and it all goes to hell.
I know how anarchy works in theory. However, without leaders, one group or another would seize power to protect its own interests - usually at the expense of everyone else's rights.

Yeah, any country without a government will fail very fast.
Anarchy could never work. It's something some drunk idiot thought up. Anarchy's impossible, it's like Communism, but we've (A group of people, not the whole of humanity) already tried Communism. No one wants to try Anarchy. Anarchy is like that flavor of soda no one's heard of and no one's willing to try.
For some reason I expected a Megathread.
You should beat up the kids that made this
Yeah I'm tired of people seeing anarchy as a cool thing to write on your binder or a fashion statement like punk clothes. Everyone post on that video now.

Somalia tried it. Today it's the world's foremost nation in personal freedoms, equality, and wealth.

it's a fine country

Right.
This is a public forum in which opinions may be expressed and facts may be related. I'm not trolling anyone, I'm making a point. So no, I won't stop.
Anarchy will not work as a replacement for a government system.
If the world radically changed overnight it would work fine and dandy, but there's no way every country is going to lose it's government and every person is going to forget that they can't get away with anything.
it's a fine country
If Somalia is a great country, then Guantanamo Bay is heaven.
What the fuck that girl was in a catholic robe thing and shes saying shes anarchy. I'm not but I mean get it right.

Not Somalia, it's a corrupt theocracy at the moment.
But it might be a dictatorship tomorrow, who knows.

There's the idea. Somalia's government fell apart long ago. It's a theocracy now because a religious group currently has the biggest guns. Sooner or later someone else will come along with more guns and grab power from the theocrats. It's a testament to why Anarchy could never work.
together our bond is stronger than a nuclear bomb
Silly anarchists don't know how nuclear bombs work.

That's the fun! You never know what wacky warlord will be stealing your women and crops next!
Anarchy works fine in small groups of people.
Get anything bigger than a small town and you'll start having major issues.

Protip: China is communist and is thriving as a country.

China is a fascist regime with its dictators masquerading as legitimate Commies.
Open your eyes.

Haha, it's cute how you speak for all of humanity and think you're right. Anarchy has been predominant since before feudal times and communes have worked wonderfully in small communities.

"Single-party communist state"
That's your opinion. Regardless you cannot deny that China is thriving.

Just because they call themselves communist doesn't mean they are.
I am raging over this video what the hell am I supposed to do with all this energy

That's definitely true. And thriving because of the vast investments made in it by the western world, and western corporations. And this is the biggest reason they are not legitimate communists.
You think real communism would have allowed privately-owned corporations, let alone foreign ones?

Everything works wonderfully in small communities.
