We're all in agreement that Asylum is the best game in the series, right?
Is it just me or does the remaster look worse graphically, somehow?
The remaster seems to look a lot worse in some places, like 0:52, is that supposed to look better?
is the framerate going to be 60 on consoles this time? If not, I'll probably pass
Did they accidentally swapped the "remaster" and "original" words ? Because the original looks WAY better.
Original look better in most of the scenes, especially characters. Like... :what: [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/0Qsz1m.jpg[/t][t]http://i.cubeupload.com/4ypUyJ.jpg[/t]
Most of it makes the Original seem better, yet there are also a few times the remaster looks better...
Even in thumbnail picture; I think everybody would say the right one is better and is the remastered version, but no, that is the original.
It looks like they fucked up all the lighting in the remastered

Oh wow I was actually impressed by the graphics difference from the thumbnail but it turns out that original is the better one :v:
Only Asylum really needed a remaster. Arkham City looked great to begin with. I hope they bring some of the gameplay improvements from the later games to Asylum.
Is it just me or does the remaster look worse graphically, somehow?
the remaster is the console version and the original is the pc version on max settings [editline]21st May 2016[/editline]
This video shows the graphical differences between the PS4\Xbox One versions of Batman: Return to Arkham and the original versions of both Arkham games on PC. The PC footage included in this comparison video has been captured with all graphics settings set to max, that's because at the moment the PC version of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City is considered the best-looking version, and personally I think it's the perfect version to compare with the upcoming New-Gen edition - which technically should be graphically superior.
Some the lighting is wonky, really wonky. Like I appreciate their attempt to sort the colours out but it's like they fucked something else up in the process.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/Os1a07T.png[/t] is this a joke
You have to remember that video games back in 2011 still had those overbearing post processing colour filters whose use has fallen out of favor in games, for more natural lighting
how bout that yellow. seriously, re-watch it and you'll notice it.
if your "remaster" only looks better in some areas than the original, then I think the original hasn't aged enough to be deserving of a remaster. shit, i'd even venture to say that asylum still looks passable today. sure it's dated, but it's not ugly by any stretch of the imagination and it's not like the game is inaccessible or anything. i don't really see any point to remaster it
The remaster just looks super saturated. Also why does a game that's not even 10 years old need a remaster. I don't fully understand the reasoning here.

I think that they broke the lighting engine
the remaster is the console version and the original is the pc version on max settings [editline]21st May 2016[/editline]
That's not really an excuse.
Batman's cape and Robin's outfit look better, but that's pretty much down to having larger textures. Almost everything else if pretty bad. The lighting is very flat and there's a weird yellow/green filter over everything. Also they removed all the fog from the games for no apparent reason.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/Os1a07T.png[/t] is this a joke
Did they glue hair to his face?
We're all in agreement that Asylum is the best game in the series, right?
City. Refined gameplay, better graphics, more stuff. The narrative was a bit of a loss, but tbh I didn't care too much when it meant I got a large cast of wacky characters.
Lol what have they done They should really just leave Asylum and City alone at this point and let them be the masterpieces they are. Not that these remakes will change that, but seriously at least do it right.
