• Should criminals be able to vote again (In the U.S)?

In the United States of America, I have heard a proposal from a politician to give the voting ability back to criminals guilty of non-violent crimes. What do you think about this, should they have their rights back, or should they remain as is? My Opinion Criminals should not be given the right to vote back simply because, once you are a criminal, you have no rights (Besides Natural rights). You have committed a crime fully knowing the consequences and therefore forfeited your rights. Some people could say "But what if they have changed?", but I say to that is yes, people change, but their actions do not. If it's a non-violent crime they committed, then sure. Let them vote. I don't see the harm in it. They didn't do anything that has hurt others so why shouldn't they be allowed to vote for who is in the government?
Why do you say that criminal forfeit their rights? What's your argument for this besides simply stating it?And what does your last sentence mean? It's a load of crap. Why should people be judged on past actions if they no longer stand for them or represent them?
Everyone deserves the right to have a say in something. I don't see why criminals shouldn't be allowed to vote. Even if somebody is really fucked up they still have the right to have opinions and feel included in some ways in society.
Depends on the crime. But as long as it's a non-violent crime or a minor felony that doesn't involve harm of another individual, I don't see why they shouldn't be able to.
