Don't know if any of you watch Vsauce, thought this one was interesting to watch.
That was surprisingly morbid
That paint can shot was glorious
That was surprisingly morbid
That's not even including the iron to the face or standing on a god damn nail.
Watching the dummy get smashed and imaging this happening to somebody made me cringe a little
That's not even including the iron to the face or standing on a god damn nail.
That nail is still the cringiest moment of pain in that movie
That's not even including the iron to the face or standing on a god damn nail.
Or falling down the stairs, stepping on broken glass, and having your head set on fire with a blow torch.
That nail is still the cringiest moment of pain in that movie
That and stepping on the tree ornaments. There would be so many embedded fragments in the foot and blood everywhere.
the model stuff was fun but this guy is honestly really annoying to me, it's like he's desperately trying to emulate michael while also having a third of his charisma necessary to pull off the forced pause thing
Obviously it's there for the visual demonstration, but suffice to say that ballistics gelatine is called "ballistics" for a reason - in most other ways it probably doesn't do a good job of emulating skin and muscle and whatnot.

how is it a youtube channel has a ballistics dummy 50x better than the mythbusters ever did
the model stuff was fun but this guy is honestly really annoying to me, it's like he's desperately trying to emulate michael while also having a third of his charisma necessary to pull off the forced pause thing
I prefer him to Vsauce2, honestly.
how is it a youtube channel has a ballistics dummy 50x better than the mythbusters ever did
Buy it from these guys, cannot remember how much they are, but tons of gun channels buy them for testing.
how is it a youtube channel has a ballistics dummy 50x better than the mythbusters ever did
Because Adam and/or Jamie like making things themselves.
If that's what the paint can did, then imagine what that bar thing would do from Home Alone 2: 1:28 Kevin is a murderer in the second movie He even electrocutes them He even sets Harry's head on fire, and puts gasoline in the toilet, knowing he'd dunk his head in it. Jesus Christ Kevin basically created a toilet bomb. Hell the fumes from the toilet would have caught before Harry's head would have caught, and it would have just been a bomb.
Only problem I have with the crowbar experiment is the fact they didn't put layers of winter clothing over the ballistic dummy but good enough anyways.

Not a drop of paint got on that dummy. I am so satisfied right now.
how is it a youtube channel has a ballistics dummy 50x better than the mythbusters ever did
i'm pretty sure the vsauce channels are a part of youtube so they can have massive budgets.

When ya nutt harder than ya thought you would
Only problem I have with the crowbar experiment is the fact they didn't put layers of winter clothing over the ballistic dummy but good enough anyways.
The impulse difference with a few layers of clothing would be nearly negligible.
Here's the video with Mark Roper that Jake mentioned.
The impulse difference with a few layers of clothing would be nearly negligible.
Hmm, I would have assumed a shirt, thick sweater and thick winter coat may have reduced the impact by at least a bit.
Hmm, I would have assumed a shirt, thick sweater and thick winter coat may have reduced the impact by at least a bit.
it would've spread the force out over a larger area for sure
the model stuff was fun but this guy is honestly really annoying to me, it's like he's desperately trying to emulate michael while also having a third of his charisma necessary to pull off the forced pause thing
I think he might just talk like that -- it's how he talks in his regular life update videos, so either he's accidentally ingrained that speech pattern into himself by trying to emulate Michael, or he was always like this. This is when he reveals his cancer diagnosis, so I doubt he's acting for dramatic effect here. He tends to pause halfway through his sentences.
