Rodger Bumpass, a veteran actor and producer best known for voicing Squidward Tentacles on the long-running animated hit “SpongeBob Squarepants” was arrested on Friday (Jan. 15) for driving under the influence. The 64-year-old actor was arrested in Burbank and spent the night in jail before being released the next morning after posting his bail.
http://zap2it.com/2016/01/squidward-spongebob-squarepants-rodger-bumpass-dui/
I'd drink too if I lived next to that yellow asshole "too bad that didn't kill me,"
please kill the show please kill the show please let the poor thing die.
please kill the show please kill the show please let the poor thing die.
They would rather find a sound alike for Squidward then let Spongebob die. They will just pull a Fairy Odd Parents and just add new main characters for the fuck of it to keep it relevant.
one too many Canned Breads
please kill the show please kill the show please let the poor thing die.
If the creator of the show quitting won't kill the show, the voice actor of one of the side characters being arrested certainly won't. I also wish the show would've stopped earlier, but c'est la vie.
They would rather find a sound alike for Squidward then let Spongebob die.
You're saying this as if he's quit? I'm not saying he would quit. More of Nick might not want a person being arrested for DUI working for them anymore. Might. "Family friendly image" and all that. and yes the the creator of the show did come back for the movie. But IIRC only for the movie.
I think he came back as of late, but I meant in the context of Nick not initially quitting after and instead making like six or so Seasons of the show for several years without him.
That's some pretty bold and brash behaviour.
This is the first time I've ever heard anything about Squidward's voice actor. I didn't even know who it was before now. On another note, the trackers on this news site are fucking ridiculous:
I'm not surprised. Living next to Spongebob and being continuously tortured by him and Patrick all that time in the later seasons did a number on Squidward's mental health.
As a Burbank resident, I gotta say, this makes my city sound way more awesome. "So what happens in Burbank, anything interesting?" "Oh not much, Squidward got picked up by the cops after a liquored up joy ride the other day."
Could someone clarify on the Fairly Odd Parents thing? I haven't kept up with it.
Cosmo and Wanda had a baby
On another note, the trackers on this news site are fucking ridiculous:
I have adblock and noscript and the number of listings on news websites is crazy. Facepunch has 4, Wikipedia has 3, Youtube has 5, imgur has 8, and twitch has 15. But news websites easily go into the 30's, you can hit "Allow All" and the page will refresh, and present you with another full list of blocked items.
Could someone clarify on the Fairly Odd Parents thing? I haven't kept up with it.
They also had an annoying dog that's worse than Scrappy Doo and they're gonna add a new female character who's gonna be Timmy's neighbor.
They also had an annoying dog that's worse than Scrappy Doo and they're gonna add a new female character who's gonna be Timmy's neighbor.
Is the show still running? This amazes me if so.
They also had an annoying dog that's worse than Scrappy Doo and they're gonna add a new female character who's gonna be Timmy's neighbor.
wait... gonna? that shit's STILL GOING?
Actually yes. Heck, they even released a season ten episode 5 days ago :v:

I heard about the baby and the dog, but now they are adding another main character? That seems like they are just throwing ideas and seeing what sticks to try and stay relevant.
Looks like Squidward has to go back to driving school.
why squidward, WHYYYYyYyYyYyYy
Oh hey, I didn't know there were other facepunchers here!
Yes you did, I talked about the local high school once a long while ago and you took notice. Of course this was before Squidward ran amuck in our fair city.

Was watching sponge Bob with my gf recently. They added too much musical elements. To me, that effectively lowers the target demographic age. I like cartoons that were written so that parents could watch them with their kids and not be annoyed to death, but I think sponge Bob decided to throw that out the window.
