i literally sunk in my chair watching this. i felt like i was dying.
That looks so very bad.
is this a meta show
it's so self aware that its bad that its funny?
This is a joke right?
I wish it was.
I thought it was just going to be a mediocre series up until the Asian stereotypes popped up.
I chuckled at the school girl part but the rest of this was horrendous. Even the laugh tracks and jokes.
Isn't a trailer supposed to show the best parts of the show?
I thought some parts were funny. Like when the Dad's are deciding who picks up the check.
'from seth mcfarlane'
that explaaaainns it
It's weird though, this seems like the kind of show Family Guy would rip into
*canned laughter*

Was literally just about to post this. Everything made sense when that came up on screen.

I'm pretty sure that Family Guy HAS ripped into shows like this in the past. Then again, the cast seems to be Seth MacFarlane's friends and/or go-to's, so maybe this is roughly akin to what Adam Sandler does with his films lately.
Either way, it looks dry as hell.
Jesus, Seth Green.
Seth (MacFarlane) should just stick with making mediocre prime time animated comedies.
It's a live action Fox sitcom, I give it about two months.

I think he should take a break from comedy until he can come up with fresh material again (a la the early seasons of Family Guy, or American Dad). Maybe he could focus on singing for a while; that's one area where he genuinely excels.
he never actually wrote for family guy or american dad so idk where that comes from
he never actually wrote for family guy or american dad so idk where that comes from
You sure? He's the creator of both shows and I'm 99% sure that for at least the first couple seasons of Family Guy he had a major input on the writing.
EDIT: Nope, turns out you're right. He wrote the pilot episode and a couple others, but the rest of the episodes were done by his team. Looks like Seth is primarily the creative director rather than the writer.
The first team of writers assembled for the show consisted of Chris Sheridan,[18] Danny Smith, Gary Janetti, Ricky Blitt, Neil Goldman, Garrett Donovan, Matt Weitzman, and Mike Barker.[19] The writing process of Family Guy generally starts with 14 writers that take turns writing the scripts; when a script is finished it is given to the rest of the writers to read. These scripts generally include cutaway gags. If there are not enough cutaway sequences, writers are asked to create them. Various gags are pitched to MacFarlane and the rest of the staff, and those deemed funniest are included in the episode.
The show's creators and executive producers are also writers for Family Guy

IT's like some fox executives were at a table and said,
"we need a show like big bang theory, people like dumb humor pretending it's smart"
"like the new girl"
"no, that has some depth"
"let's replace nerd culture with geek culture"
"geeks love asians and making fun of the dads that support them"
"yes, lets make them 'successful' business men trying to support their dads"
"yeah, and lets change crazy old mom jokes and fit them into dads"
"prefect"

jesus christ.
Looks like this will take The Big Bang Theory's place as everyone's least favourite sitcom.
jesus christ.
Watching the video again I just noticed that Seth Green's desk has a bunch of retro video game controllers and consoles scattered around it. Because that's how video game development works right
Has hot Asian. I might just have to watch only her scenes.
