Okay, here's your crazy-ass Star Wars rumor of the day. As we know, Darth Vader bites it in Return of the Jedi -- like, full-on roasts in a fire, turns into a ghost, end of story, right? Well, according to the British tabloid Express.co.uk, an "industry insider" claims that Disney is looking to resurrect the iconic villain for Star Wars: Episode VII. "He's an integral part of the franchise. Replacing him is virtually impossible," one source says. "The plan is for him to return and play a significant role in the new films." As /Film notes, it's important to keep in mind that tabloid sites -- especially from the U.K. -- are not exactly renowned for their Hollywood accuracy, so it's best to take this news with a big block of salt. After all, Michael Arndt was only just confirmed to be penning the feature a few days ago. On the other hand, it's also unwise to completely write off the power of marketability, of which Darth Vader has a small moon's worth. As for how you go about resurrecting a dead Sith Lord, the insider added, "This is science fiction, remember... Darth Vader will rise from the ashes." Hey, Darth Maul did it, right?
Rumors are evil enough to be true
You just can't let go of the character, can you George?
how about no its a rumor though wouldn't get too worried also source please
no
yes no
I mean, just saying. He kind of had his life support systems electrically fried, and he kind of died from exposure and general lack of life support.
U.K. tabloid rumor. All you need to know.
And the fact that he was dead and they burned his body...
Already fucking shit up, Disney? Anyway, I bet his memories were uploaded on some kind of computer. :V
Having any regrets, George?
I mean, just saying. He kind of had his life support systems electrically fried, and he kind of died from exposure and general lack of life support.
At which point his body was cremated. His ghost could come back, since we saw him chilling with Obi-Wan and Yoda.

Jesus Christ, I hope Hayden Christianson doesn't play the ghost! My automerge.
Disney, if you bring back Darth Vader you will kill off what few fans that lived through Episode III.
At which point his body was cremated. His ghost could come back, since we saw him chilling with Obi-Wan and Yoda.
That wasn't his ghost. Hayden Christensen was just kinda chilling at the party.
What's next? Bringing back Jar Jar Binks?
Unless its some ghost thing then its impossible, he was cremated.
Perhaps it could be "Darth Vader" but actually an imposter. That would be a nice twist.
What's next? Bringing back Jar Jar Binks?
Can't be the worse thing they've done. They did kinda make him a member of the galactic senate and naboos representative. I'd say having control over an entire planets decisions is a far harmful role than sidekick.
What's next? Bringing back Jar Jar Binks?
Disney probably is going to have him be the main character in VII
that makes absolutely no goddamn sense whatsoever no matter how much money they want, not even the shittiest writer can put that down on paper i call shenanigans
Darth Vader's death was too emotional for him to be brought back to life. It also felt very "final" as it was pretty much the last thing that happened in Episode 6.
Darth Vader may "Rise from the Ashes"
So Darth Vader is now a skinny Bowser? :v: [sp]You know, with both of them dying in lava and all, or at least I THINK Darth Vader died in lava, can't remember, been a long-ass time since I've watched Star Wars...[/sp]

Most likely all the Ewok's are going to gather around Vader's ashes on Endor and sing "Kum bay yah"
Maybe thye means as a Force Ghost. Also the source is not trust worthy at all.
Man fuck george lucas
..
I mean, just saying. He kind of had his life support systems electrically fried, and he kind of died from exposure and general lack of life support.
And you know, being burned into literal ash.
lmao this is so fake and if he returned he should be very neutral considering the great symbolism behind Luke being both the savior and destroyer of his own father. [editline]12th November 2012[/editline] aside from that, let me just point this out. Because on some cases it's more than true.
Death has no meaning anymore.
