Since there hasn't been much media for a while on this game, I imagine most people don't know anything about it, so here's a few useful links,

This is the Gamescom 2012 teaser

Also the title is worded kind of strangely, what is meant by it is that it's set in an 80's vision of the future, so think sci-fi movies like Alien/Aliens
Oh wow, I've been waiting to see proper gameplay of this, looks so good, gonna pre-order it when I can
I love utilitarian 80s sci-fi.
The feeling and emotion of the game environment speaks like bioshock, but in space; and the gameplay feels like amnesia's.
I'm excited.
Oh God, that laggy night vision scope. That'll be an absolute nightmare.
I love the time period. I'm getting all kinds of vibes from this.
I've never gotten motion sickness from watching a movie or playing a game before, but I think this'll be the exception.
EDIT: Oh, Oculus Rift, that's why. Always looks really odd when you're not the one playing. Really looking forward to playing this.
oh man this looks so fucking cool
Holy shit, how have I never heard of this? it looks so good.
Space Amnesia

except with guns that have a 50/50 chance of not working. imho that's even scarier because it gives you a false sense of confidence then kicks you up the ass
that was scary as fuck
AFAIK it's not really 80's sci-fi though, it's just normal sci-fi. But anyway, it does look good.
I hope not all the enemies are robots because that isn't scary at all.

While I agree with you, I fucking hate being chased
If done properly, and I think they know what they're doing, robots can be FUCKING scary.
I actually loved how it didn't make any sound besides it's clanking footsteps and how it moved that... well, that way.
Enemies in water and a tiny laggy nightscope to see in the dark.
This taps into a Shadows of the Empire fear that I didn't know I still had

Did you watch the water part?

Yeah I couldn't tell what it was.

Kinda looks like the robots from I-Robot
I loved the way when it spotted him the spotlights switched on
I wonder how they kill you
I wonder how they kill you
Well, uhm, since you are a squishy human I would think they would beat you to death
and/or strangle you.
Also, whatever was in the water at the end sounded like it was alive, if you catch my drift.
It's definitely not a robot.
Maybe they don't kill you, maybe something worse than that happens
For an indie game it's got some remarkably spectacular sound design.

Did you not see all the CRT moniters everywhere?

So just by having CRT monitors it's 80's sci-fi? I had the impression that 80's sci-fi was more than just that. The designs and such for example, they're not very 80's sci-fi. I don't deny that it's more than probably drawing inspiration from 80's sci-fi, but most of the designs look much more modern than that.
But, I guess that's just me.
The lack of music and general silence beyond your movements just makes it terrifying
fucking lol that night vision scope thing that loads like 3 times a second is going to be the death of many many people many many times
I hope not all the enemies are robots because that isn't scary at all.
an enemy who has no other feeling than to objectively seek out and kill you and probably will never stop, get tired or do anything other than seek you out?
sounds pretty scary
