That hammer is really small. I would've expected it to be something massive like the size of him or something.
Metalheads are jizzing their pants right now.
Odin is anti-war. Good one, Hollywood.

No they're not because this looks like shit
Well actually I am jizzing my pants but it's only because of Natalie Portman I swear
He must have gotten his training from Aghanistan.

Why wouldn't he?
Metalheads and pagans hate this movie because it is an abomination, people making money off of Thor. Also, it looks like shit.
Why wouldn't he?
I dunno maybe because he leaves in a great magical mead hall that only warriors can enter if they die gloriously in combat and they spar there all day and the ones who die rise again that night to do it again the next day and they're all waiting around until Ragnarök where they'll all participate in a final epic battle for the fate of the world at Odin's side
But no you're right maybe he could be anti-war

Don't forget! Everyone dies. And two people will survive and make another world. :buddy:
The instant I saw this is in 3D I gave up on the film entirely.
Haha cool, my name is Odin.

Ever read Norse Mythology? There is a story that explains why his hammer is so small. - At least the movie/comic pays a bit of respect to the source material.
Not much though.
Eh...I'll see it. If only to round out all the individual Avengers films before the Avengers movie.

Captain America's really the one I'm looking forward to.
"Your ancestors called it magic, you call it science."
Something about that line rubs me the wrong way.
Excuse me while I swing a black cat over my head in the night while burning leaves and mushrooms over magic runes.
I have an important scientific experiment to carry out.

They should have made the hammer look more like it's mythological counterpart though.
You're right, but you have to admit that if the hammer was the size of Thor himself it would've been much, much worse.

Just finished reading the part about the hammer. I'm not really into mythology, so I wouldn't know much.

Of course, that would just be stupid.
This is so incredibly incorrect that it's painful.
Odin being anti-war? What the Perkele?
Obviously a spin off to Iron Man, as we see that same guy from SHIELD.
Cool effects though.

Not really, just set in the same universe.
And guys, it's based on the comic books. So why complain about how inaccurate stuff are?
At least their trying to tie all the movies together instead of making them the only superhero ever.
I think the only reason Odin's anti-war here is to stop Ragnarok from happening again. He's tired of all the Asgardians being trapped in perpetual death.
I hear that the beginning scenes show Odin's armory, where he keeps all potential weapons and threats to igniting Ragnarok. The Infinity Gauntlet, Cosmic Cube, and Mjolnir are kept there until Odin gives the latter to Thor.
