Polish tank theft - Polidicks

Metal theft is really bad there in central Europe. Pretty much no well guarded or fixed mass of metal is safe. We had our lightning conductor stolen, and stuff like high voltage cabling, street signs, eaves, parapets are stolen all the time.

Anyone remembered that one time a guy stole M60 tank and caused rampage across the streets which caused the police to chase him until he hitted a wall near a highway and when they opened his hatch,he was dead

I usually sell copper with my grandfather, but isn't stealing sixteen tanks from an army base a bit too much? Not only it's illegal, but there's a high chance that everyone will find out since seeing one or more old tanks being driven around on a truck through the city isn't the most usual sighting. Then again, you can get about 20,000$ from one tank wreckage IIRC.

I'm pretty sure you could sell them for more as weapons than scrap metal you just have to know the right people but they probably didn't.
