I remember another FPer saying that you could be driving down a road for 6 miles or so before you realize it's a one way road in the opposite direction to you. Mix of bad drivers and bad driving conditions in general, I think.

I recall that the reason Russia has so many accidents because the roads are poorly made some lead to dead ends others lead to the wrong side of the road.

I am Russian, and I would like to say that in reality all of this belongs to an enormous conspiracy of deliberately creating the impression of Russia being a horrible country for drivers, for the purposes of keeping its flawless driving infrastructure pure from the more standard immigrant drivers that commit mistakes, as well as to keep others from stealing its secrets.
