I mean, they were clearly dubious as to whether it would even survive, or if the parachute would deploy. And they did it anyway. Like, it wasn't some idiotic childlike optimism, they knew they could get back a mouse with a broken back.

Besides personal experience in what ever you do with your life, what hard psychological and scientific evidence are you basing that women "generally" can feel more of an emotion than a person who is a man?
Also to keep this on topic I was worried that this video was going to take a dark turn when they mention the plane. I imagined that it was going to launch and the rocket was miraculously hit the plane or the parachute didn't work.
