I want to sell my old computer, what's a fair price to ask if it'll even sell?

Back in my freshman year of college I frequently made the commute between home and my dorm. At the dorm I had my primary computer, but at home I had only my laptop, which was on the level of useless for damn near anything, so I built another system for home. Now that I don't have two places to sleep, and have just built a new system, I want to sell an old machine comprised of my former home and dorm machines.
Here's what's included with the composite system I've built, I've assembled a similar system prospectively through Newegg, Amazon, et al, and sans shipping it would cost about $375 to do, plus the time of building it.
AMD Athlon 2 X2 240
2 GB DDR2 1066Mhz Corsair Dominator memory
(+ Optionally 2 GB DDR2 800 Mhz G.Skill memory - compatible but not ideal)
EVGA GeForce 9600 GT 512MB
Seagate Barracuda 320GB 7200RPM SATA HDD
SATA DVD-RW
Antec Super LanBoy aluminum tower
Rosewill Performance 550W PSU
I was thinking of asking $300 for the whole thing, but I'd take $250 considering there's no input/output devices or OS in the deal (I'm installing Ubuntu on it prior to sale so it's at least functional on arrival). It's not a powerhouse but it will handle Source or the vast majority of MMOs with gusto if my prospective customer plays games, and it's more than anyone needs for academic purposes (since I'll be advertising at college).
Do you guys think I'm in the right price range or should I go for more/less? Or is the system even worth trying to sell - maybe another purpose it's better suited to?
250-300 like you said sounds fair, though I've seen worse PCs for more. I think with such a low end PC you should be selling it with a monitor and KB / mouse because the types of people who buy it probably wouldn't already have one. If you don't have that great of a monitor, just raise the price around the cost of a new one and add it in, as well.
sell it as a EXTREME GAMING PC 5.6GHZ 9600GT 4GB RAM
or you can break it up and sell it off. Cheap ddr2 ram will sell, its too expensive in the shops and its not going to get any cheaper.
