Get a texture pack like Doku's RPG pack.
Make all the walls the same block like cobble stone so everything is equal.
Also nice try but you hell portal is wrong.

I wanted to get the texture pack that makes every texture sorta one colour, that reminds me of Borderlands. I don't know what it's called though.
Also, we were going to do that, but lost interest when we finished the stairs and forgot about it.
Also, portal is fixed now. I added a layer of Obsidian on the bottom to make a frame.

Nice. The Entrance is a little sloppy though, and I would recommend making some tables and a library just for coolness' sake.
Well I'll get to work on them tomorrow then Doom, and I'll also fix up the entrance too.

I like how your base is structured and made though.
I'm working on a server with a friend from school as well started and did about 1 hours work. Got tonnes of resources now and we have made a huge bridge into the see where underground/water stations will be with walkways above and below water.
Servers private for the time being but I recommended him that we white list the server.
If you're going to make the server public, you could try putting it in the Minecraft Megathread. Most o- Actually hardly none of them are helpful. But yeah.
The base structure was actually layouts of natural caves. I just straightened edges and replaced the floor, and it was a damn nice finish.
How it's built it really cool but it's severely under-furnished.
It would be cool to have the save of this just to dick around with the glass and lava areas :v:

So, today when Greez gets online, we're going to fix the entrance by making it all SmoothStone, mining all of the Ore, adding a library etc.
When we're happy with the final result, we will most likely release the save for you guys.

Both of us use Skype, so we sometimes communicate over that while building. If this progresses further, maybe we'll release the server to the public and make a Teamspeak of some sort :)

That's because we followed the natural pattern of the caves. Basically what you're seeing is natural caves, but with different flooring and stuff. I like to follow set plans.

Yeah, that took us a while to fix up, sorting out flow directions and stuff.
I want to get started on our updates, but Greez hasn't been online for two days now, I don't know whre he is. I'll keep posting in this thread with progress.
