A nuclear exchange in the Middle East turns global - the United States go quickly, but they do not go quietly. Neither does Russia. The remnants of humanity are saved by an unimposing marvel of modern engineering: the kilometers of underground tunnels that weave below what are now memories of a bustling Moscow. The year is 2033, your home is the Metro.Metro 2033 is a video game adaptation of an award winning Russian novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky - the survival horror / FPS blend took gamers by surprise with its masterfully thick horror atmosphere and a compelling, fresh, uniquely Russian universe. I'm sure most people already have it on Steam and aren't buying it again.
Hell I got it for free through PCGamer or something.

This is the Redux release, it brings it up to Last Light's engine and has improvements across the board. Runs way better, too.

The combat is a lot simpler though, I preferred the way the original 2033 played over Last Light.
It does lot a shitton better though, looks better as well.
Original 2033 was even more atmospheric than the Redux, I'm not lying.
Not to mention some of the assets of Last Light are brought into 2033 Redux, which looked weird and out of place.
If anything the Redux performs better than the original.
Didn't redux lack some effects that the original had?
