Some guy testing various scenarios with the Crysis Sandbox editor. I swear to god, he has the BEST sound editing ever. If you look at his previous videos you'll see he's done some awesome stuff in 3DSMAX.
Crysis Sandbox is so fun.
I wish the freefall through all the vehicles was longer, that looked awesome!
Oh god the final one needs to be in an actual game! Fuck.
-snip-
Fuck, makes me want to buy crysis...
Crysis is such an amazing game. It's practically the last high-budget PC exclusive we've had, and it shows. It still blows the technology of today's 'consolized' games out of the water.
Can't wait for Crysis 2. I hope Crytek managed to make the game even more awesome on the PC even though they're also building it for the consoles.
Crytek make some pretty awesome games, but the sandbox applications they bundle with them are the best. I had so much fun with Sandbox 2, while bugs and stuff prevented me from pushing on to make anything worthwhile. Crysis 2 launch time, I will defiantly have Windows 7 on my MacBook by then, even if its low settings!
I wish I could run it
It was once again i convinced of power CryEngine, he does stop to surprise me
This video makes me wanna install Crysis again.
Also, that Venator animation made me think about good'ol BF2.
Oh damn, he didn't lag in the beginning? My computer would lag very much, cause i got an Nvidia Gefore GT 220 graphics card.
I'm pretty sure he uses this command that a lot of those mass physics type people use when they record. Really they are getting terrible frames, but they compile them together and it look relatively smooth. Something like that.
They take x amount of pictures per gametime second, or something, rather than recording realtime.

I think he records a demo-file of him playing, then renders it into a file with a pre-set fps of 60 or such.
Holy shit... the last one.
At 4:57 :v:
Sure makes me wish I could run it.
But... why does everyone complain about not being able to run it?
My GTX 9800 can run it on max :saddowns:

It rapes my 295GTX at 1680x1050 :(
4:00 and onward is one of the most awesome things I've ever seen in a game

To be fair, most other modern engines have just as many technical visual effects as CryEngine, the difference is that Crytek probably has one of the best art teams in the world.
20-30 FPS at Very High 1920x1080 on my GTX 480.
God I wish games had sound effects like this.
Especially for big metal things flying past you and making a "VWHOOSH" sound.

Just cause 2 had this when your car was spinning very fast. I mean it's not even hard to do yet it adds a lot to the game, just use the objects angular velocity as the sounds pitch and volume multiplier and it's done.

I think HL2 and the episodes did sound pretty well. I was always impressed at the "VRRP" the AR2's plasma bolts make when they fly by your head.

Exactly, and I thought it was fuckin awesome.
And it seems so easy, I just don't understand why more people don't do it.
I already made a thread a while ago.
