I love you guys.
Wouldn't buy it if I was you
What I've understood from reviews is that this game was released way too early and is kind of unfinished.
heard it was terrible
It's been mostly getting average reviews, although one metacritic the user reviews are higher and the pc version had higher critic reviews rating. [editline]04:49PM[/editline] Most Pc reviews for it are in the 80's.
There's no way to turn off smoothing and vsync does nothing. :saddowns:
Obsidian can't do anything right. KOTOR2 was a fluke... an unfinished fluke.
I played it. Didn't care much for it. Wouldn't get it.
The game is okay, the graphics are average, the voice acting is good, the cover system is good, but doesn't seem to always work. The story is good too. It could've been a lot better. Oh, and gun-play is really budgety feeling.
[QUOTE=Kabstract;22310054the voice acting is good, the cover system is good[/QUOTE] I disagree with these points completely, but still think it's a decent game. [editline]01:11AM[/editline] hm something's wrong! [editline]01:12AM[/editline] where's the goddamn edit button :smithicide:
You nerds need to <b>listen the fuck up right now</b> This is a good game. The gameplay is really solid and the conversation and decision making mechanic is great. The story is good and the characters are unique and believable in their own way. My first playthrough I played as a russian spy wannabe, sneaking around in the shadows snapping necks and using my silenced pistol to take people out. I'm playing through a second time and now I am a super melee-only pacifist lumberjack, running around punching people in the mouth but leaving every enemy alive. There are a lot of options and all of them are viable. I plan to do a third playthough as a commando guns blazing type. I honestly don't understand the bad reviews. I watched the gamespot one for example, and some of the things they say just aren't true, and the rest are issues that very rarely occur like glitches with the cover system and camera issues. Like they say something to the effect of "being a perfect shot doesn't really make a difference because no matter where you shoot them it will take a few bullets" and that just isn't true unless you're on hard, and if it wasn't like that on then then it would be-- uh, easy. And a headshot with the pistol will still kill on hard I think, just not with a machinegun or a SMG. [editline]09:50PM[/editline] Whoops, HTML bold tags, silly me.

[editline]09:50PM[/editline] Whoops, HTML bold tags, silly me.[/QUOTE] I'd love to believe you, but the game won't even load for me nor numerous other Windows 7 64-bit users. Somehow, I'm not surprised, considering Obsidian's reputation. I was kinda hoping this wouldn't be the case on their own IP, but look how that turned out. If they can't even get the damn game to start right, I have little confidence in the rest of the game.
it's terrible. if you want to play it, go console, not pc.
I hope the quality of Alpha Protocol doesn't reflect on new vegas since obsidian is making it.
2 different teams made Alpha Protocol and New Vegas.

[QUOTE=UnidentifiedFlyingTard;22315311]2 different teams made Alpha Protocol and New Vegas.[/QUOTE] Obsidian and OBSIDIAN. [editline]02:31PM[/editline] This game is alright, worth a rental on consoles.
