cover system?
SPACE BATTLES
SPACE BATTLES
Already better than the new Battlefront
cover system?
not exactly, there are some spots that go into a 3rd person shooter mode, it isn't a toggle thing.
Gah bit disappointed they went with making the characters talk
Gah bit disappointed they went with making the characters talk
It's been standard since their Lord of the Rings game.
why did they have to voice act it..
why did they have to voice act it..
I'm pretty sure the actual actors from TFA are doing the v/o for the game. If not, LEGO has had some pretty damn spot-on impersonators for their games. Just look at The LEGO Movie Game, I couldn't even tell it wasn't Chris Pratt or Morgan Freeman.
It's been standard since their Lord of the Rings game.
I know but i was holding onto hope that they may go back to the silent humour given that the first star war games were that way
But sometimes their voice acting doesn't work, Lego Jurassic World is so hard to play cause they remove alot of the actors but keep some from the film in (they removed Wayne Knight and replaced him with Fred Tatasciore, how could THEY do that, while keeping Sam Niell and Ian Malcolm's voices in). Plus, all the side characters are so annoying with their side dialogue during missions. I really wish there was a mod to remove voice acting all together besides grunts

It's been eleven years since the first Lego game of this type came out and I bet the annoying filler enemies can still not be defeated by your AI companions. Also it will probably still have the distracting "Press any button to join" text blinking in the upper right corner. I wish TT would create a fully fleshed out RPG (aimed at teens and adults instead of six-year-olds) in one of the Lego themes (maybe something unique instead of slowly killing creativity by buying one license right after the other) and put more focus on building than destroying ( = make building something better than just "hold [button] to build"). Every new Lego game (apart from Lego Worlds (which has slow progress)) is so familiar. I play a few levels and always go "Alright, let's find a guide online that tells me where I can find the stud magnet first." Gameplay-wise there is hardly anything you didn't expect. Story-wise there is even less to not expect as you have most likely seen the movies the games are based on before. The thing I used to love most in the old games were the bonus levels because they were original but even they got left out after a while. But I'm going to buy it anyway, I guess.
why did they have to voice act it..
They didn't these audio clips are ripped from the Film. Though there are new lines recorded by the actual actors IIRC. [editline]23rd March 2016[/editline] Downside to them ripping audio from the film, is they're not 'clean' recordings, they have background noise and whatever else was happening during the scene the audio was ripped from.

No clean up whatsoever
