Same issue here as abortion. If it's completely illegal, people will take huge risks to get it done, which will result in injury and death. If a parent wishes to circumsise their child for religious purposes and is unable to do so safely at a hospital, he may end up doing it underground or by himself.

Maybe we took the time to think this through and figured out doing something that can't be reversed on someone's body without his consent is wrong? (unless it was performed for medical reasons, in this case, it's ok, but should be performed with the agreement of a doctor)

Here's some opinionated bullshit in addition to my previous post: It really doesn't matter whether someone is cut or not. I'm cut, yet my penis work fine. I have no problem urinating or ejaculating, and I haven't had any issues with sensitivity when masturbating. Its not mutilation, it's just the removal of (arguably) unneeded tissue. The only real issue I see about this matter is that babies are circumsised before they're able to give consent. However, circumsision is such a trivial procedure that it's practically a non-issue.
