Razer has bought microconsole outfit Ouya, founder Julie Uhrman has announced.
Uhrman thanked the firm on Twitter, as well as a host of other people who helped bring the Ouya to market. Her tweets also suggest she has left the company as part of the Razer deal.
Not much info yet as it's just happened, but it's interesting to see what they're gonna do with it, I'm guessing they'll merge it with their Forge console thing somehow.
Isn't this over a month old?
I wonder how much it went for. Definitely wouldn't put a dent in anyone's pocket

Julie Uhrman only started tweeting about it an hour ago, there might have been rumors in the past but now it's official
Isn't this old or has OUYA been bought out that many times
What's left of Ouya's dead body is salvageable?
The news you're all thinking of is this:

Which was before a deal had been struck.
So a company that makes poor quality products has bought a company that makes a poor quality product. Sounds like a perfect fit to me.

Oh god. It's a perfect marriage.

Razer has a solid collection of keyboards and mice. Beyond that is where things get questionable.

Razer had solid keyboards. Not nearly as much so now.

Why the hell would they put mx blues (or rather a slightly modified knockoff) in a gaming keyboard? Noone uses blues for gaming.
Razer just can't stop saving gaming.
I don't know what we would do without razer saving gaming every single day of the week.

no mechanical switch offers a real benefit for gaming, it doesn't really matter which switch you use

Most are preference, but blues have an actual disadvantage. The release point is above the actuation point, so doing quick taps is harder. I've tried blues in both CSGO and Tetris the Grandmaster 3 (66.7ms auto repeat delay) and had problems with that.

Wrong, I use blues for gaming

I've never met a single other person who uses blues for CS. They're fine for most games, just not ones where you need to make tap movements.

Anything has an advantage, depending on which way you stroke an ego.

I use one for all my games, never had a problem with it at all.
I think you're just overly picky.
I like my Razor keyboard, its very easy to get apart and clean.
The mice on the other hand are balls, stay away
so I imagine this cost razer about $20?

Deathadder is great, rest are beyond atrocious.
Razer is the skullcandy of the PC peripheral world. It's not that it's bad, it's just overpriced for what it is.

It's not a huge difference in CS (although reds definitely make it easier to adjust narrow angles than blues), but try making tap movements on lv 500+ Shirase with its 4 frame auto repeat delay. Then you will understand why blues are not a good gaming switch.

From what you're saying, they're good for gaming 99.5% of the time.
That's good in my books.
Your ultra specific use cases are kinda irrelevant.
