If they had media explaining the game that would be nifty.
I've always thought bullet hells were the most unoriginal, bland, most poorly designed games in existence. Since Flash days the exact same game has had its sprites redone and occasionally it'll be presented as horizontal instead of vertical, but who gives a shit, they're all identical.
Until these guys release any kind of media for their game I can't imagine it's any different than the hordes of clones that already exist.
eh post maybe something about the story next time instead of a link

Occasionally there's shit like Beat Hazard with some shit to spice it up like gunfire being based on music, but yeah, most aren't great.
I'd play a SUPERHOT style shmup
Now if only cave would bring back SMT Imagine to international :v:
Fucking finally they came to senses.
Looking at the bg, it'll probably be port of Mushi or Futari.

you could say this about any number of genres. cave have been considered one of the best companies working in the shoot'em'up style for 20 years.
Now if only they'd fix their android ports. They haven't worked in over a year. I absolutly loved all of the shmups that cave brought to iOS back when I had an itouch.
I like Bullet hell shooters but i haven't really heard of cave

They're the biggest name in danmaku. Do you just play touhou or something? I find it very hard to believe that someone could like the genre and not know Cave.

Question is, if slowdown will be emulated correctly, because that happened a lot

Well i got into it fairly recently though through Touhou and Crimzon clover
and i mostly just been playing the ones on steam and playism
Hopefully Donpachi and Dodonpachi will be ported over. Hate having to hook up my Saturn or use emulators to play them.

To be fair, Touhou seems to be how most people get into the genre nowdays. It was the case for me as well, several years ago.
Is there no list for which games are coming yet?
excellent post, lot's of effort

It's a good way to get into it, they're pretty easy and have good music.

I'd be surprised if its anything more than what they have released to consoles already
Fuck the haters bullet hell and shmups are great. I played the shit out of this game as a kid:

If Touhou is easy I don't wanna know what's hard.
Anyways Summer Carnival '92 Recca remains my favorite shmup

This reminds me of Raptor: Call of the Shadows I played as a kid.

Worth a play if you're into that kind of thing.
Official use of the word "shmup" and kinda janky website, but I hope it's real.
CAVE seems to have not virally spread outside of Japan like Touhou for reasons, probably hardware.

Cave games lack a mass of anime girls and blaring midi trumpets. But it's funny because Iirc the cave games on Xbox 360 aren't region locked.
