dont enterone i used a program once when i had forgoten my pass word i think it was called longhorn
I think it was called longhorn
That was a Windows codename... for Vista IIRC. OP, unless someone else can recommend a good password recovery, Probably have to get a linux live cd and copy over your files.
Try Trinity Rescue Kit 3.4
ok, but i dont have access to another computer, thats the problem
ok, but i dont have access to another computer, thats the problem
then what are you on?
then what are you on?
im on my ipod
Think I might have a solution do this http://www.techsupportforum.com/microsoft-support/windows-vista-windows-7-support/260722-solved-how-open-command-prompt-before-logging.html Then use the console to enable the super administrator http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-administrator-account-on-windows-vista/ Should be able to login into that without a password and remove the password on your other account
i get to the recovery screen, and it says to access recovery options log on as a local user, then it has a drop down menu with my username in it and it asks me for the password
Well I guess you're screwed then if you can't get to the command prompt. Was worth a shot though.
theres has to be some way, maybe i can just bypass the login screen completely?
http://www.pcloginnow.com/ It may work for Win 7 too. You'll need access to a computer with internet, a burner and a blank DVD.
i know my password goes letter, number, letter, letter, i know the # is between 1 and 6, and all of the letters used are on the second row down on the keyboard,(asdf...) could some one make a list of all the possible combinations? i know its alot to ask but im kind of desperate here
http://pastebin.com/EXPzH2hv Better start typing, that's going to take a while.
how about you stop being retarded and get a friend to burn a few CDs for you there is a way to recover it, but there's no magic way to do it built into the operating system since if there was there would be no point to a password
im on my ipod
No you're not. iPod's automatically capitalize the word "iPod"
Get Backtrack 4 (google it) and make a live cd/usb of it, and boot from it. It comes with a tool that will let you remove your password, so you can just log in without needing to wait while you try to brute force the password (which could take a VERY long time)
