Hey guys, new smoker here. I'm gonna try out some cigarettes later on. Any brands to recommend? I was thinking of buying some pure tobacco, rolling paper and one of those cigarette makers so I can smoke pure tobacco, since it'll be a lot healthier. Still, I want to try some brands as I said. What do you all smoke? Does it help with stress? That's the main reason I'm gonna start.
Cigarrettes are bad for you and have no positive effects. Smoke weed instead.

No, it doesn't, and don't. Really, that's fucking stupid.
Dude don't start smoking. I smoke, it's not cool, it's not nice, it doesn't reduce stress, it only kills you.
It makes you smell like shit, too.
I can't see why people want to start, i'm fucking trying to quit.
Cigarettes also cost a lot of money.

Yeah they definitely are.
5.60 for marb reds which is so so, but for newports it's 8.
NYC last time I was down I saw a sign for reds and it said they were like 7.60

also I look back on how many packs of cigarettes i've bought, i could have bought sooooooo muuuuchhh weeeeed
shisha, mang.
cigs are teh sux
Get an e-cig. Smoking makes you less attractive to people who don't smoke, it annoys concerned relatives, and makes exercising harder. It's also incredibly addictive so good luck trying to quit if you ever decide to. Do something else to relieve stress. Jogging or singing or something like that.
Smoking is fun and all, but don't sound like a naive dumbass.
Smoking is smoking and it's bad for you, it's probably going to be a phase, and no it doesn't help you cope with stress.
Wanna know why I smoke cigs or black and milds or pretty much anything? Because blowing smoke is fun, that's seriously the only reason, that's probably why it's so easy for me to go cold turkey for months at a time.
First off, NEVER cope with any sort of drug, tobacco, alcohol or whatever.
That's how addiction starts.
And why cigarettes? Unless they're a really nice, fancy kind, cigarettes are only really socially enjoyable.
Go buy a cheap flavored cigarillo, like a black and mild wine wood tip.
Just don't ask DD what is a good brand of cigarettes.
And if you insist "Oh come on give me advice lol" then go with Darjum blacks, clove cigarettes are good, and no they don't have fiberglass in them like a bunch of dumbass people try to tell you.
They numb your mouth, taste and smell better than normal cigs and so on. But they're 8-9 bucks a pack at gas stations.
But seriously, go with black and milds.

Oh and this.
Ecigs are actually pretty fun, and good, and you still get that buzz cause it has nic in it.
Smoke brands vary from country to country, notice which non light smokes older people around you smoke and you'll have a list of the best tobacco around where ever you live. In the start it won't let you gather your thoughts but give you a weird buzz. When you've smoked for a moderate amount of time you'll notice that the buzz is gone and that you have a tendency to get a clarity of though when you smoke. When you've smoked for +~1.5 years you will get absolutely no positive effects from a smoke except killing your abstinences for one for a short while. It is at this point you abundantly will try to stop and fail like to many others.
Congratulations, you are at this point officially a smoker, gg on having gotten so far in a pointless attempt to seem cool or deal with self diagnosed stress problem that no one will listen to you about that you have essentially ruined the last years of your life, which you have also provoked to start 5-10 years earlier than they really would or actually downright killed yourself :)
Also, while a cigarette may stress you out it will also in the long run make you just generally more stressed making itself appear as the solution to your stress even though it is the causation itself.
I've gotten to the point where I'm stressing over the fact that I'm causing myself to have a higher risk of lung cancer. you may think that fact is never going to bother you, but trust me, it'll catch up to you eventually.
I was considering smoking until I read this thread, oh well, at least I have my alcohol and weed.
Cigarettes dont make you feel good until youre addicted really, Ive never really liked cigarettes that much but I just ended up smoking nearly every day for like 12 months and now Im hooked. Ive been trying to quit but I guess not hard enough...
But yea it sucks fuckin hacking all the time, I cant even hit weed like I used to cause my lungs are pretty raped by the cigarettes.
Don't start smoking because you want to man, taking up the habit was probably one of the most annoying things i've done since it's a LOT harder than you think to stop once you're addicted.

No shit they're bad for you. How about instead replying if you're interested instead of telling me everything I already know.
Camel blue is what i have been smoking for years.
I have been smoking all the shit i could find and it's the only flavor that keeps me going
I used smoke Marlboro reds, they were my favourite, but after about six months I constantly coughed up phlegm, so moved to lights.
Here's a small list of "premium" brands that are sometimes nice as a treat:
Camel
Lucky Strike
Dunhill
And that's all I can think off the top of my head.
I used to smoke, I've really cut down. I'll occasionally roll a cigarette out of the rolling tobacco I use for joints.
Smoking cigs is shit. And rolling tobbacco still has additives. Don't bother starting. I'm addicted myself but I started smoking joint before cig. We mix tobacco with weed which is why.
I've basically given up. It feels so good, I'd suggest all smokers to give up.
I was never a heavy smoker, maybe 20 a week. But I've basically stopped smoking it, I only buy baccy for joints.
i can smoke many times a day or not at all, depends on what i feel like doing. plus i find smoking is incredibly pleasurable, just not in an easy to understand way, plus it really potentates weed.
plus cigarettes aren't expensive at all if you roll your own. pack of bugler costs me 4 bucks, lasts me more than a half a week, and it's always been like that for the years i've smoked, never went up or down in my smoking.

He gets all this advice and that's all his brain thought would be good enough to write?
I recently "started" smoking. I only smoke when I drink and when I hang with one of my friends who smokes all the time. I don't think I'll continue for much longer. Hopefully I'll have no problem stopping it.
Some people don't get so addicted. Like my mom has been smoking for like 30-35 years I think, but it's only from time to time. Like she might buy a pack, and she'll have that one pack for like a month. Then she might not smoke for a couple of months again.
But yeah... The best thing is obviously to not smoke, so if you haven't really started smoking yet. You should stop while you can. But hey... It's you life. You should live it as you like. If you want to smoke, then do it. It's your choice.
Nicotine has a few advantages. This includes augmented short-term memory, concentration and cognition, laxative effects, and increased dopamine.
The disadvantages are VAST but mainly due to the ROA. If Nicotine was taken orally it'd be miles healthier. Your choice but it's honestly not worth it.

I don't need the advice, I've been told this all my life. Why reply if this thread doesn't concern you?

Atleast explain why you won't do what people advise?
All cigarettes do for you is relieve a very slight amount of tension, and this is only once you are addicted. There's virtually no appeal to it at all unless you're 16, living in the 1950s, and have no other means by which you can achieve coolness (Or if you are trying to kill yourself in a more sophisticated and gradual fashion). Not only that, but there are disadvantages to smoking cigarettes that only detract from the already minimal amount of appeal you may still see in it. That smoking cigarettes increases your chances of getting cancer, fucks up your lungs, and makes you seem dirtier is not a lie. In short: You probably shouldn't do it.

Because I already know the risks? I live with a family of smokers.
