i would think they would be more massive with all the work they do, maybe video doesnt do justice

Agreed. The overall simplicity of them allow the team to go all out on the forging process instead of having to worry about making it anime enough.
What an awesome sword!
I love the fact they showed the process for drawing wire. It still puzzles me if you can do it with iron and steel though.
