Only 3 days away now to the A level modular results being released to us all! Is anyone kecking them selves etc? I'm a little more worried than normal but I'm going to try to be optimistic. Getting results for Maths core 3, stats 1 and 2 (AQA), and physics unit 4 (AQA). Hoping to achieve a A*AA in the summer to get my place at Bath to study Civil and Architectural Engineering (My only offer so far). Fingers crossed these are good ones!
Good luck to you all!

no a-level results for me, I do BTEC - pfft who needs a future anyway?

fuck sake, I ended up with BBC at the end of my A levels, maths and physics fucking grated on my soul by the end
I've got to get a BBB for my desired university (Kingston), but I've also got an offer for BBC. My contingency's not got back to me yet, but they want a BCC if they make me an offer. I'm quite lucky to have got the offers I have at the moment, Diagnostic Radiography is insanely oversubscribed, likely due to the fact the NHS funds your tuition fees.
I should get an A in maths, it's just physics and biology I have to get sorted properly.
Only had AS level psychology and general studies, even so I'm feeling pretty nervous
I'm think I'm only getting a resit result, all my A2 exams are in May/June.

Some days I wish I was doing BTEC.. I feel sorry more for those now going onto A levels next year and having to sit all the papers at the very end of the year. Memory testing rather than testing the full understanding of the actual topic, in my opinion anyway.
I just got an offer from Portsmouth University today. All I need is a Grade C in my Biology August results to get in (This isn't my first two years of college) and I get to learn how to Paramedic.
Pretty fucking excited.

Oi! I do a BTEC aswell and I'll have you know that... there are no jobs once you leave :(
Getting AS Computing resit marks soon. Problem is, because I fucked up so hard in AS, it's a bit of a make or break for me going to Uni. But I don't think I've done well enough, I found the exam too difficult.

I'm in my first year, planning on leaving in June and getting an apprenticeship. Sadly, the qualification is worth nothing compared to workplace experience and hopefully the fact that I've done a year will help towards actually getting an apprenticeship.
It's a shame because if I'd just worked that little bit harder at GCSE and been less of a lazy, arrogant little shit I wouldn't be in this mess :v:
Getting AS results for law, history and politics on Thursday. Dropped English Language because fuck the system.
Why have my college started selling Kit Kat Chunkies and Creme Eggs holy shit

Hoping for B's or above
I think I might watch some episodes of Dragon Ball Z tonight, and also maybe go to school tomorrow. Sometimes its Halloween.

I know what you mean, all of my brothers who did a BTEC went down a completely different career path because what they learnt was useless and they were offered jobs in other areas. The colleges never tell you this when you go to enrol :v:
I didn't exactly try at my GCSE's either which is probably my biggest regret since leaving school but I think many people are in the same boat so it makes it sort of okay.
I got DEE in my A-Levels last year, by some crazy amount of luck I still got into the Engineering course at the University I chose. I guess they were struggling to fill places. Even if I didn't get in I would have spent an extra year doing a foundation course and still end up getting the same degree.
Don't worry if you don't get the grades you expected, you can still work it out if it goes tits up. Couple of my friends actually retook their last year, guess I should have, but I'd honestly rather die than keep doing A-Levels.

Don't knock B-TEC's! I got direct entry into the 3rd year of a B-ENG Degree by starting out on B-TEC courses.
A*AA?

that would get you into Oxbridge.. why bath?

I applied to Cambridge and got to the interview stage, but got no offer..
As I tell people, probably because I'm from the north haha!
As someone who took maths knowing full well that I was awful at it, here's hoping for something that isn't a U. I think I did okay in computing though, so that's always a bonus.
Good luck, everyone!

Just keep doing past papers. I was a lazy prick about it and got bad grades. Just practice, and I guarantee you'll surprise yourself.

Or is it a bit late? When are the exams?
[editline]5th March 2013[/editline]
Oh you're waiting for results... fingers crossed!
Haha standardized tests at my school (US) soon.
Prepare for unfilled-bubble syndrome
[sp]When you accidentally skip over a bubble and you have to go back through the whole test to make sure which one you missed[/sp]
I need to see if I got an A in my C1 and C2 resit. Also, I will finally be able to find out my mark for my extended project!
Getting my results for maths (core), maths (mechanics) and computing.
oboy...
Getting Biology, Physics and Chemistry (two units because I fucked up in June) results.
Safe to say I'm shitting myself because the courses I have offers for are around ABB or AAB. Medicinal chemistry, if anyone's interested.

I know how you feel, I have an offer of AAA for computer science but my AS grades were ABB, I have so much work to do.

Mine were BBBC, we're basically in the same boat, I haven't even started my student finance yet because I'm yet to make my firm and insurance choices.
Only had to take Physics. Revised really hard for it but I came away feeling like I really screwed it up. At least I can retake it.

Which exam board and unit?
Might as well make this a college/sixth-form thread to confuse everyone. Anyone else feel that enrichment is absolutely pointless though? I'm expected by my photography teaher to actually go and do an assignment with a group of people I don't even know outside college hours.
[editline]5th March 2013[/editline]
Anyone else find Unit 1 History a bitch though? Fucking Law 01 was easier than that.
