Ubisoft took to the stage at Microsoft’s E3 press conference to reveal Splinter Cell: Blacklist, the long-rumored sixth installment in the popular Tom Clancy stealth franchise.
The five minute demo featured the always grizzled Sam Fisher in an outdoor Middle Eastern setting, utilizing many of the new gameplay innovations we saw in 2010′s Conviction along with a few new gameplay refinements.
In a first for the series, Blacklist will include Kinect support in the form of voice commands. By speaking directly to the system, players will be able to attract enemies, call in support strikes, and more.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist will be out in spring 2013.
New voice actor
hate
The Tom Clancy series sure is revolutionary with their game ideas
I see it kept the ''Press x to win'' gameplay while removing Michael Ironside. Just gotta love it when a developer knows how to cater to its fanbase.
It's of my opinion that the last one blew ass, but I bought it on steam sale so I can't complain. It will take a lot to get me to even touch this one.
The game is like in broad daylight. I feel like the next game will be in the sun.
I liked Conviction, will probably buy this.
You can't just remove Ironside! I didn't even know who the hell he was when I played the first splinter cell, and now I think of splinter cell when ever I hear his voice.
No Micheal Ironside? No purchase.
Oh look Splinter Cell: Conviction 2
God, why can't they just use the same formula as Chaos Theory. That game was perfect. Every SC game since then has been mediocre at best.

That and Sam Fisher is supposed to be like 50 years old or something by now but in Conviction he kicked more ass and moved faster than the older ones where he was young.

I assume a new team moved in for Double Agent, and then Conviction. And decided to 'streamline' the stealth and game mechanics to appeal to the broader audiences, resulting in Old Man Sam turning from hardened, professional agent to someone whose rage and killing sprees are onpar with Max Payne's, albeit with some occasional sneaking.
I loved Conviction to death but the lack of Ironside is really ruining it.
Why is this news, there are "new" games always shown at E3
They should've used a different character for it. Seriously, Sam sounds like a damned teenager--not a grizzled old man.
At least then it would be justified.
Support Strikes... On Splinter Cell...
Fuck Ubisoft.
I just watched a gameplay trailer. So this old man Sam Fisher managed to climb the side of a mountain in under three seconds, and he manages to clear a field of enemies in under 10. Then he can jump high enough to reach the roof of a 15 foot building. My hopes are not high.
Pandora Tommorrow and Chaos Theory multiplayer were the best games I've ever played.

I thought Pandora Tomorrow was the worst in the series.
The trailer for this looked more like modern Assassin's Creed than Splinter Cell.
The last game I played was Chaos Theory. I just saw a gameplay video of Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
Marking targets then watching Fisher kill them all with no player input.
blowing up a whole area of enemies with a rocket
What the fuck happened?
New voice actor
How do you even do this
Same shit happened to Ghost Recon :(
It's like they took everything people hated about Conviction and made it more so.
Stop implementing kinect into games that don't need it please. Thanks.
Why is everyone saying that Michael Ironside won't be in it, has anyone asked Ubisoft or Ironside himself?

There's a new voice actor for Sam Fisher. That's why.
I'm prerty sure i remember watching a couple of interviews on youtube where ironside made it pretty clear that he was getting bored with playing fisher. I'm pretty sure he was not going to be apart of conviction at all until ubisoft told him of the new plot direction. I really doubt ubisoft would go and just take out of the biggest staples of the series. I have a feeling ironside just didnt want to do it.
Im being optimistic and hoping this takes the route of Conviction, which looked terrible when first announced but turned out to be pretty cool.
Just why did everything go so wrong after Chaos Theory?
I heard Spies vs Mercs is back? Only redeeming quality, but imagine if the marking system was on there too
