(BAGHDAD) — The ISIS group has been shooting at civilians as they try to flee the nearly two-week battle between Iraqi government forces and IS militants in the city of Fallujah, west of Baghdad, an international aid organization and Iraqi military say.
On Sunday, the militants shot and killed seven civilians and seven IS defectors inside Fallujah as they attempted to flee, Iraqi Maj. Ali Hanoon said.
Fuck it, raze the city.
Fuck it, raze the city.
And kill hundreds of thousands of innocent civillians? What are you Crazy?
Fuck it, raze the city.
That would be a good way to strengthen the support of ISIS and other terrorist groups.
Civilians trapped in city for fear of being shot by IS --------> Fuck it, raze the city and kill them anyways :what:
Fuck it, raze the city.
.....yeah, that'll solve the problem alright :downs:

Do you believe they should just nuke the entire middle east too?
so what do they have to bargin with to not be bombed to hell if there killing civilians?
so what do they have to bargin with to not be bombed to hell if there killing civilians?
They kill the escaping ones so the rest become too fearful to attempt escape.
so what do they have to bargin with to not be bombed to hell if there killing civilians?
The rest of the civilians that they haven't shot yet.
That would be a good way to strengthen the support of ISIS and other terrorist groups.
But if we kill them all, ISIS surely can't get any more support!

That's not wrong. That said, they hold the city, and they are killing/using civilians for meat shields.
There is no happy ending to this scenario.
Shits gonna get real fucked up.

Okay, so what happens afterwards? No more city means nobody gets anything from there anymore. Homes, workplaces, production, all gone.
That's not wrong.
Hint: That was sarcasm. And of course it's wrong. Have you been asleep for the last fifteen years?
Two words: Iraq War.
I really feel bad for the people in Fallujah. There's been about four major battles in their one city in the past decade. That's gotta be hellish
They're not going back though.
They're not going back though.
And why would they want to; most of the places they come from are hellish shitholes with little to no prospects for any of them.
Plenty of people turn back, or are turned back. At least in Finland we're sending them out at a pace of one Finnair plane every two weeks.
It's not a lot, but we can't really offer them too many prospects either. They actually have to go back, but it could take a generation or more for the dust to settle in the mid-east.

If they're voluntarily returning then I have to severely question their original request for asylum in the first place.

If the dust ever settles in the middle east, which is a big and uncertain "if". And what about their children? Do they get separated from their parents or do they have to get sent "back" somewhere they never lived?
Yeah, Obviously some will return for various reasons but the idea that the vast majority of them are only there to stay temporarily sounds like a flat out lie to me.
Well in that case a lot of people have lied about a lot of things, which isn't really that surprising
Are you seriously shocked that the EU government is full of business folk who want cheap Mexican-tier labor forces? From Day no.1, the big player governments in the EU, were constantly trying to say that all these people were there as refugees and that if some of them stayed it was okay because they were all literate and well educated as doctors and such. Nevermind the fact that about 30% of the Syrian population is illiterate, not including the folks which actually didn't come from Syria, and only hopped aboard for the gracious gibs of Germany, Sweden, and the UK.

I'm not trying to be a pedant but where did you get this literacy figure from?

Got the number wrong, it's more 20% according to UNICEF.
A lot of the Syrian refugees cannot read or write, as can be seen with about 30% of adult refugees in Canada pretty much being incapable of reading and writing.
No definite number has been posted in the likes of Europe, but several academics have stated it might be as high as 65% of all refugees in Europe being incapable of reading and writing.
When you think about it, it does make quiet a bit of sense. The "educated moderates" are fighting for their Islamic State Lite, while the majority of the Syrian Arab Republic is fighting against the encroachment of radicalism in their country. The people are mostly getting the hell out, are the ones which are no use to either side as they possess no technical or practical skills.

I don't know why they voluntarily turn back, or when the dust finally settles.
But technically, I think they are indeed staying temporarily by which I mean "temporarily" alright. They can apply for extended stay for various of reasons, like a job, study, etc. Probably a way to gain permanent residence too. Plus the dust settling takes its time.
