Covington police say Megin Gray, 26, admitted to taking Xanax, Percocet and drinking alcohol before going to sleep with the 9-month-old girl at a home on John Street Monday night. When she woke up around 11 a.m. Tuesday morning, Gray found the baby severely burned. She took her daughter to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Kenton County Commonwealth Attorney Rob Sanders said he understands the baby was found on top of a baseboard heater on the floor. He also said charges could be upgraded. "I'm not going to speculate though until I get the autopsy report back," said Sanders. Gray is charged with second-degree criminal abuse and is currently at the Kenton County Jail.
