i was in my ICT class today when i suddenly realized i had completed all available work, so i made these!

(updated to PNG)
they're hopefully going to be put into a game soon so please give me ideas and ask questions!
edit:
the people may not be final
Jpegged.
i'm guessing that means you don't like jpeg so they are now bitmap
No, he means that there are artifacts on the image caused by the raping tendencies of Jpegs.

where?
woah! in the original theres nothing wrong...
let me try re-uploading it.
i tried it and it keeps doing it even though in paint its perfect
Save it as a PNG this time.
Take a look at this sprite-sheet of yours ;

All the black was white, notice how all your sprites has this sort of field around them? That's .jgp artifacts and when working with only a few colours (the case with MS Paint or pixel art) you'll want each and every colour to shine through.
See the face? The one on the left is .jpegd, whereas the one to the right is the original smiling faceI drew. Look at how terrible the one to the left looks. That is what .jpg does to pictures.
You can't save this sheet anymore, saving it as a .png (or even .bmp) is going to do nothing.
save as .png->upload to imageshack so there is no compression->post
Also what caused you to want to make cod sprites? What for?
I'm just curious is all.

thank you!
top image also updated.
Much better :3:
A lot better.
First lesson that. I think.
can anyone comment on the sprites?
They look really bland, there is no shading or colouring at all. their pose is really stiff, it doesn't look like that when you're running and overall they are really boring. What you should work with is making them more realistic, give them proper proportions and work on making them seem human. When you do the standing pose you should stand up and see how you stand when you hold (an imaginary) gun. Look at reference pictures of soldiers, of people running and aiming their guns.
Also look at reference pictures to get anatomy and proportions right, here's a pretty good picture for that ;

A normal human is roughly seven heads tall, work with that first. Scratch everything you've done so far and begin anew. First, work on making a decent human base. Come back once you're done with that.

well i'm going for a cartoony look so i don't think it needs to be perfectly but i agree, the humans do need some work
nice picture McNab!
if anyone could offer a base for the people that would fit with the rest of the sprites with little to no editing i would love it!
That sounds like a lot of excuses, if you want a cartoony look you need to start from realism. Draw a base first, making them realistic. Then give them exaggerated look, so that at least something looks human about them.

alright
Looking forward to see the future sprites :)
It looks like you're making these for a game, is that the case or are you just doing it for fun?

well i thought of making a parody game like duty calls but then i realised i would have no idea where to start or how to code so the're just for fun for now.
I'm confident you can find a programmer here ;

wow, thanks! i'll make an account in a while and check it out
No problem! You should read through all the rules and all that before posting, and remember to provide the following:
1)The background story to the game. Why is everything happening? What's the story behind the main character? What is he doing?
2)How advanced you want it, be extremely informative on this one! It's better to be too intricate than to just write "I want them to shoot lasers that blows up and kills everyone".
3)Length of the game. Is it going to be short with only a few levels or are you planning on making this a couple of hours long of entertainment?
4)Payment, is the coder getting paid for the work? How is it going to be released?
Those are a few things I can think of that you need to write in the OP of your thread, I'm pretty sure I've missed something and afaik there is a thread somewhere that lines up what needs to be in the OP of the thread where you look for a coder.
Another thing ; This is going to be extremely time consuming and chances are you might have to spend a lot of hours on the graphics only to have it scratched because it doesn't work, I mean we're talking about at least one hundred hours.
i'll get further with sprites until i'm sure i want to use them then check it out.
You should make some building pallet sprites.
I think that's what they're called.
Also Duty Calls is already a game so yeah.
yes i know, i was jsut refrencing it to give you an idea that it would'nt be a serious game
I like these a lot, good job buddy :buddy:
Silly vladnag, there's no health in CoD
