i dont get why there would be a shitstorm about this seems like a fairly standard pride video with a positive message

shitstorm seems to be created by: /pol/ radical muslims radical christians /pol/ (did i say that twice?) people who dislike idpol Trump

This just looks like the religious right of the YouTube community going into panic mode over this. Plus, I am honestly not suprised; due to how youtube's comment system is designed, it allows for these kind of shit storms to occure without anything being done about them, since reporting does nothing and they've made it pretty difficult to moderate comments.

I think the word is disorder not illness. Illness suggests that it's some curable disease that you can catch.

I'll be honest, I don't know why they decided to pick the most eccentric looking people for a video about Pride Month. Not all people of LGBT are people who identify as any of these weird pseudo genders/sexualities. Where are the vast majority of us who are just men who like men or women who like women?

Queer people function as well as any straight person but the problem arises when people repress themselves or they don't feel accepted. The wikipedia article you linked literally mention that most LGBT suicides are related to the fact that they're demonized by a significant slice of society. The whole gay pride and acceptance movement is to stop the stigmatization and to reassure homosexuals that they are normal human beings and that it's okay to be gay.

Mind you I live in Sweden with accepting friends, family and co-workers. I can understand the need for Pride in areas where acceptance isn't a given.
