No that's why it's NOT awesome :(.
So many time's i've been killed because i meet someone, we both shout friendly and walk past each other then a moment later i'm shot in the back of the head. Man this game is really meant for the paranoid.

One time I was walking into a town, planning on searching some houses but some guy I didn't see started shooting at me from around the corner of a house. I hid and snuck around, before eventually sneaking up behind him as he was reloading. I was thinking really hard about killing him, but looking over his gear I realized he had better stuff than me, and it would probably suck a lot to lose all that gear. I gave him a warning to stop shooting me or I'd have my friends jump him and steal his gear. (I was bluffing, I was playing solo.) He agreed and when he turned away from me I took my chance to sprint off.
Jump forward about 30 minutes, I'm out of ammo, near death and have five zombies chasing me. It's night so I can't see shit, and I'm trying to figure out what direction to go to meet up with some friends who started playing. As I'm sprinting I hear someone shooting, and it sounds like the bullets are landing near me. I thought for sure it was game over, so I looked around to see where the muzzle flash was coming from and sprinted at him, thinking at least if he kills me I could get the zombies on him and bring him with me. I sprinted behind him and waited, before I realized he was shooting the zombies. I thought he looked familiar, and that's when I realized he was the same guy I met before. He gave me two magazines for my makarov, some food, and bandages. I thanked him, he called it even and we split ways.
The shit that happens in this game
