Selling good condition iPhone 4 for £250 (UK buyers only)

Not sure if I am able to post a "sell thread" here so moderators can lock if i'm going against the rules, just seeing as an iPhone is Apple, etc, etc.
Hey, I've had an iPhone 4 for 8 months and looking to sell it on due to wanting a bigger screen (iPad) and of course will be getting a Windows Phone.
I'm selling one that has extended cover/warranty until October that i paid roughly £61 for, so if you encounter any problems (I've kept it in great condition) then you can ask them to exchange.
The screen is in PERFECT condition, despite never using a screen protector, etc, every time I am not using it, it was kept in the box for safety.
On the back next to the Apple logo, there is a very feint hairline mark which can only be seen if tilted into the light.
On the metal at the top right, there is a kind of brush mark on the metal (no indentation, just a little spot where the light shines oddly on the metal). Both of these are minor cosmetic faults that are only noticeable if you really look closely for them. After all, you're looking at the screen (which has no marks) and will most likely use a case to cover the sides/back anyway.
It is currently jailbroken, but I will be resetting to factory settings (i.e no jailbreak). You will need a jailbreak to unlock the phone, however with the current jailbreak I had, it would not detect my SIM card, so I will be resetting to factory settings meaning a fresh jailbreak should register whatever SIM card you place in the device.
If you DO have problems getting your SIM card to work, note down the serial number (found in iTunes), you can take this with the device to the Apple store and explain that the SIM won't register, they can replace it for you. Like I said before, I have the extended protection on the phone and can send you the document to prove with the iPhone, if you do decide to purchase. (just don't mention that you jailbroke the phone or you lose your warranty, just make sure you reset to factory settings before going).
I had a similar problem after having no knowledge of jailbreaking at the time, so I have been in the above situation and they replaced my phone whilst setting up my Orange SIM card in the process, free of charge.

Screw this, cba selling something to a part of the forum that has a bunch of fags in it. I'll take my kindness elsewhere
Why the hell would someone do this while they can go grab a new one with a contract for $149-$199...
Above that, it's not even the unlocked version.

Because you have to pay monthly. I'm going to Apple on Monday with a resetted phone asking to replace, saying it won't read the SIM card, so by the time I sell it, it will be unlocked for Orange (as that's what my SIM card will be at the time).

It will be when I take it to Apple, which I should have mentioned.
As for the dumb ratings, I'll try not to come here again with, what seems to be a decent offer especially for Europeans, and not waste my fucking time again.

That's not a valid reason. It's still a phone, you'll still need a contract to use it fully, so you might as well pay less to get a NEW phone AND the contract.

Yeah but you're not locked into a contract and it won't destroy your credit should you find yourself with the inability to continue making payments to it

If there's any chance you can't pay off your (exorbitant) phone bills down the road you shouldn't open a contract.
The price the OP's asking for does not justify not having a contract.

Actually my iPhone 4 is on Pay as you go service. It doesn't prevent me using the iPhone any differently to anyone on a contract. My friend has the same generation and is going to end his contract because he finds I'm benefiting better than him.
Contracts are only useful if you use the internet a lot, make lots of calls and text every two minutes.
My service offers free call time, 300 texts and 500mb internet. They normally expire before I use them.
Plus I don't need to pay every month nor get into debt just to use my iPhone.

Yeah, pay as you go, you can pay for higher features one month, then spend less the following if you can't afford. Plus, selling my phone unlocked will mean any network. There's a large amount of consumers out there who would prefer to buy an iPhone as their own, than pay contract.
Some don't want to even pay the full price, so they pay for 2nd hand which is what I did on my 3G a couple of years ago. At least buying your own unlocked, you have the freedom to do what you want.
Btw, you're not all fags. It was my uncontrollable anger :( I'm a sorry

Shit happens. People lose their otherwise stable jobs so you can't always assume you'll always be able to pay for it

Also, you may get bored of your product or realise a newer version of it has been released. Or, you suddenly start to become infuriated by the current OS and want to make the switch to Android/Windows, but you can't because - contract.
Anyway, I'd suggest you go to eBay or something instead. You'll get rid of it easier there.
Yeah, you're better off putting it on Gumtree or eBay.
You'll be lucky to get a buyer in the UK on here. Let alone the Apple sub forums aren't to popular.
I'm sure the was a sub forums to sell and trade on here.
Thanks guys, I've seen them going for 270-280, so I'll put it up for £270 instead of 250, due to losing 10%. My plan was eBay at first, but I was hoping to skip the middle man :v:
Can't sell until I go Apple store on Monday, got an appointment there hoping they'll replace it so it sees the SIM card (without jailbreak). Of course I pick up my iPad 3
