I'm new to urbex, and quite frankly around my area there is like, no abandoned buildings, but we have huge amounts of storm drains because there is a river going through our city. It doesn't rain here often and I was just curious what the actual dangers are, and if there is a big risk of flash floods in saskatoon saskatchewan?
I wouldn't bother with storm drains. Too much risk for not enough gratification. Aren't trespassing laws in Canada very harsh as well? I read somewhere getting caught in abandoned government or military sites will get you several years in jail. Here it is a $1000 fine and 30 days in jail. If you drive around down some back roads I'm sure you'll find some old farm house or factories.

Hmm? edit; and if by risk you mean being hurt, it's not that dangerous when done with care.

I've done drains all over the country and around the world and I reckon it's rewarding if you're into it. waaaay better than any shitty backroad farmhouse
well those are obviously some magnificent tunnels there! its funny how i pus out about tunnels but i'll climb an 80 year old rusted escape ladder five stories to get roof access. idk, maybe i'm just too claustrophobic. i want to explore abandoned mine shafts but it really bugs me out. Phantasy, just try to research them and find out as much as possible before going through there. And if not, bring an inflatable raft!
I got a little interested in urbex, read about draining, realized id done some without any safety precautions (lmao) and now anything but it in urbex is inadequate. Wishing we had some Cave Clan members around here, but i've never seen any of they're graff here.

Drain Safe.
