"One length I've gone to which is a really good security measure - I make sure I don't get a script, because I will lose it," said Moffat, the show's lead writer. The 50th anniversary special, due to begin filming in April, will be broadcast in 3D around the show's birthday in November.
and all the hipsters in my area rejoiced
and all the hipsters rejoiced (at least around my area)
since when was doctor who a hipster thing?
and all the hipsters rejoiced (at least around my area)
hipsters? what? you crazy boy
since when was doctor who a hipster thing?
Ever since the hipster/nerd merger
Ever since the hipster/nerd merger
I wasn't consulted on this merger, I don't want to be associated with hipsters
hipsters? what? you crazy boy
It's pretty rampant among them in my area :c
epic? i like it
I wasn't consulted on this merger, I don't want to be associated with hipsters
It was a hostile takeover of Nerd Inc by Hipster Enterprises. They used the Big Big Theory clause to their advantage, we were left with no choice
and all the hipsters rejoiced (at least around my area)
Yeah Doctor Who is so obscure, typical hipsters.
Hoping for a regeneration soon. :v:
and all the hipsters in my area rejoiced
Wut?
I just want a Tennant cameo....even a small one...
Please let Tennant come back and maybe even Eccleston
Hoping for a regeneration soon. :v:
Why? I like Matt Smith. I loved David Tennant but Matt Smith is still a good Doctor. The problem is the writing in many episodes doesn't really give him room to shine. Seriously, so many episodes were about Amy Pond, a character that I could not stand. Rory was a good character, and he got better as the show went on. River was a fun character although I think they made her far too convoluted and confusing. But Matt Smith as the Doctor is fine, especially when he gets an episode that is all about him being the Doctor. Steven Moffat just really, really should let someone else take the reigns though, look how many stories he has where they day is saved by love or sadness or emotional crap like that. Most of the time emotions save the day and the Doctor had hardly anything to do with it.
Please let Tennant come back and maybe even Eccleston
The obvious thing to do would be a crossover between those three. Crossovers like that have been done before, too.
Speaking of crossovers Today my friend at school had the cringe worthy Star Trek TNG-Doctor Who crossover comics at Drama today
Speaking of Star Trek, Doctor Who needs an anniversary movie.
Speaking of crossovers Today my friend at school had the cringe worthy Star Trek TNG-Doctor Who crossover comics at Drama today
Cringeworthy is an understatement my friend. [editline]19th March 2013[/editline] TNG should have never been desecrated in such a way.
i bought them for the fancy covers.

so when does hugh laurie turn up
I wish they would get off of earth, the thing that pulled me into doctor who was that there was always something new. Now they run their monsters into the ground. Now it seems that they are happy to keep churning out more and more cyberman/dalek/weeping angels episodes on earth. To me Eccleston will always be my favorite doctor (probably because he was my first), I liked Tennant's doctor as well, but Smith's portrayal often comes off too much like a child to me.

Same person, but the changes make their personalities different. Matt Smith's Doctor is supposed to be like that, he's supposed to be more playfully and childish. Though he obviously has a darker side that he hides, which can be seen at times like with the one with the dinosaurs on the space ship. And the ones where he is a bit more awkward, blame the writing, not Matt Smith.
I don't care what they do, just as long as they don't bring Rose back.
Why? I liked Rose. Rose and Donna were great. If Martha makes an appearance, I'll put up with it. But as long as there is no Amy Pond. Rory I'd be fine with, he was a good character. But no Amy, keep her out of it. Rory actually grew and evolved as a character throughout his time. And by the end, he was like a human cross between Jack and the Doctor. He didn't have their knowledge or experience, but he would do what he could to do the right thing. Just watch his final episode. [sp]He figures out that if he dies then, he couldn't die much older in the apartment, it would be a paradox. He figures that the paradox would fix everything, so he makes the decision to sacrifice himself to try. And that's very Doctor-esque of him. Do what is right, even if it may cost you your life.[/sp]
Personally, my favorite companion in the new Doctor Whos was Martha. Not really sure why, though. Rose got annoying really fast, Donna I didn't like from the start, and Amy is okay. Rory's pretty fun, too.
Is it me or at this point does Docter Who lack Drama? It's not like they can kill off the main character with anything they throw at him, so why should I care what happens to him if by the end everything will be ok. Atleast the old episodes used to have multiple parts to create suspense.

Though there was more than enough space magic emotional bullshit still during the Tennant years. Personally, I think Smith makes a great doctor. He's a great actor and he gets the eccentricity right (unlike Tennant who really felt like he overdid it sometimes) It's just that the writing is fucking awful.
