and, so far, it's a great read, the writing is a little....poetic, but besides that, i'm really enjoying it. how about you, facepunch? have any of you read anthem? and if so, how'd you like it?
meh, anthem's not too bad
I should start reading Ayn Rand.
People who read Ayn are annoying and pretentious.
People who read Ayn are annoying and pretentious.
that sounded pretty annoying and pretentious dude
that sounded pretty annoying and pretentious dude
You're right.
I should start reading Ayn Rand.
start with her earlier works, readys you for stuff like 'atlas shrugged'.
start with her earlier works, readys you for stuff like 'atlas shrugged'.
Does it get more intense as it goes along? :v:
start with her earlier works, readys you for stuff like 'atlas shrugged'.
nothing "readys" you for Atlas Shrugged. Why the fuck would you read Atlas Shrugged anyway?
Neil Peart gets off on this shit
Neil Peart loves this shit
he's a discipline of no-one, bitch
Does it get more intense as it goes along? :v:
no, you should just work your way up. anthem doesn't even fill up a whole book, where atlas shrugged is thicker then two bibles put together. [editline]04:58AM[/editline]
nothing "readys" you for Atlas Shrugged. Why the fuck would you read Atlas Shrugged anyway?
why wouldn't i? i havn't yet, but i plan too, i'm readying myself.
How do you ready yourself to read a book? It's a book. Get over yourself. Also, most Bibles aren't very thick.
How do you ready yourself to read a book? It's a book. Get over yourself.
you can go now.
why wouldn't i? i havn't yet, but i plan too, i'm readying myself.
That's a stupid idea. The Fountain Head is the definitive of Ayn Rand's work. Atlas Shrugged is just so you can say to girls "Hey baby, I've read Atlas Shrugged."
he's a discipline of no-one, bitch
bitch he gets the lyrics for Rush's songs out of his novels bitch what now suck my eggs
nothing "readys" you for Atlas Shrugged. Why the fuck would you read Atlas Shrugged anyway?
You jerk off at long, winding speeches.
bitch he gets the lyrics for Rush's songs out of his novels bitch what now suck my eggs
your eggs? this isn't very feminine
Is that the one novel that's like two inches thick and can double as a doorstop?
That's a stupid idea. The Fountain Head is the definitive of Ayn Rand's work. Atlas Shrugged is just so you can say to girls "Hey baby, I've read Atlas Shrugged."
but atlas shrugged was the inspiration for bioshock, which actually got me in to rand and her philosiphy in the first place.
your eggs? This isn't very feminine
YES MY EGGS. GET SUCKING. HARD-BOILEd.
bitch he gets the lyrics for Rush's songs out of his novels bitch what now suck my vaginal secretions
It is now more feminine.
Is that the one novel that's like two inches thick and can double as a doorstop?
yes, although i wouldn't use it for a doorstop, that's what my old childrens books are for.
I hate Ayn Rand. But seriously: Anthem was okay, she's a basic author.
yes, although i wouldn't use it for a doorstop, that's what my old childrens books are for.
Did I just step into a Starbucks?
but atlas shrugged was the inspiration for bioshock, which actually got me in to rand and her philosiphy in the first place.
well then you are shit at analysis bioshock is critical of Ayn Randian theory. Andrew Ryan was just a copy cat Ayn Rand. The name is even the same. AR, AR.
Did I just step into a Starbucks?
Yes you did. Would you like eggs with your coffee?
I hate Ayn Rand. But seriously: Anthem was okay, she's a basic author.
yeah, can't wait to start reading atlas shrugged. knowing myself, i'm totally going to take forever, then afterword i'm gonna read the fountainhead. [editline]05:03AM[/editline]
Yes you did. Would you like eggs with your coffee?
i would.
Atlas Shrugged is just so you can say to girls "Hey baby, I've read Atlas Shrugged."
Duly noted. Bitches gonna be all over me, reading philosophical shit and all.
I personally like Stephen King Although he is the author of the only books I've read
