• Why is being a virgin shameful?

I mean, back in the old days it was preferred. But now its a shameful thing. I know, society is always changing, but shouldn't it change for the better? Isn't this why we have things like AIDS? Rate boxes so I can hide myself from this cruel world.
It's preferred in women you mean.
its shameful the same way smoking is considored cool its because people are dumbsh*ts apparently : im late im late for a very important date (alice in wonderland for those small minded of us) rate me boxes and clocks im moving and want to get up early gawd damn moar boxes and clocks or im goina miss moving one more box to hide mah virgini.................i mean my awsomeness
Because human nature has reverted back to the primal instinct of fucking everything that moves and using said fucking as a rite of passage into manhood in the eyes of the less-evolved.
It's not. It's all in your head. As you get older you'll realise "virginity" is all bullshit, trust me. Those who make it into a competition are the real losers.
Depends what channels you and your surroundings watch on tv.
The way I see it, it's a primitive urge to reproduce. Back in the days when men were men and hunted their food and tried not to be hunted in turn, the survival of the species was at stake. It was vital to reproduce quickly and in great numbers to survive, particularly given infant mortality rates. People still have that primitive urge, even though we now live in age where it is unnecessary, and even harmful. But, people are just too damn thick to change their line of thinking, and so the age old adage of "WOMAN! SEX! HURR HURR! still permeates the majority of society, asides from a few open minded individuals such as you and I. Edit: And yes, I've been ninja'd. But I believe my post expands on that somewhat.

It's supposedly a sign of maturity. Ironically enough, many people lose their virginity very early on for the lack of that very trait.
It means you can't get laid. No matter what you say you're a loser and only ugly girls come near you, you choose not to cause only fat girls want your cock. That what being a virgin is all about.
if you think a 40 year old virgin isn't shameful then you are wrong because they even made a movie about it
It isn't, really. At least you won't really feel that way when you grow older. The sexual curiosity makes it feel important to have had sex. No woman is ever gonna give a shit whether you're a virgin or not when it really comes down to it. Sex is one of the most awesome things you can spend your time on, but when you eventually lose your virginity (you will) you'll realize there wasn't any fucking point in having a competition over it. I believe the primitive urges is what drives us to wanting sex, but the part about turning it into a race/competition is related to curiosity. EDIT: Here, I'm giving you a box. Now do yourself a favor and fill it with condoms.
Its funny how I was playing CS earlier today and some racist ass hat started calling me a chink and saying that I won't get any pussy in my life. So he equates fulfilling a life with being sexually active. All I did was ask him how his day was :smith:
Wasn't this exact thread made a few months ago?
Kids around me are 13 and getting laid. That ain't cool, that's fucked up.
Kids around me are 13 and getting laid. That ain't cool, that's fucked up.
Nah man that's cool. Get with the times.
Because society is full of dumbasses who's brains have atrophied because they think with their cocks.
it's shameful because you're missing out on one the best, most special feeling (both physical and emotionally) you would ever experience. But not at a young age, that just ain't cool.
i got laid at 6 biatch
If you've had sex you've been in a relationship with someone who's agreed to have sex with you. If you've never been to that stage you're obviously not social, or undesirable. Probably both.

Having something you care about more than sex? Impossible.
Wasn't there a thread on this a few months back with the exact same title? Anyway, I don't care what others think, I'll be a virgin until I find someone I can spend my life with.
You can talk all day about this is caused by these morons and that is caused by those morons, but the base reason for almost all of mankind's problems is simply intolerance.
Or finding something to stick your dick into isn't a priority for you. But, no, that's nonsense. Having something you care about more than sex? Impossible.
I'm talking mostly about people who are still virgins way after most people they know have gotten some. If you're, what, 18 and you've not had sex, that's not really shameful. Or I hope not, because that's going to be me. But if you're 40 and you're still a virgin you've probably either not got out there to meet all the potential mates in the world, or you do mix enough with women and you're just not good enough for them to want you.
It's truly shameful if your virgin going into your 30's or 40's depending on the reason, but it's great not to be a virgin for social status. just keep cruising in your life
The thinking seems to be that if you're still a virgin, you can't get any action/don't want to get any action. Obviously, in a sex obsessed culture being ugly or asexual are terrible things so you're marginalised as a loser. Similarly, being a manwhore is perceived as a sign of virility and attractiveness and so is pursued. I suppose it's basic social proofing. "Well, if he's still a virgin then there must be something wrong with him because everyone else has had sex*." *That's what they say, for precisely this reason.

This thread reminds me, my biological parents are virgins.

But that doesn't really have anything to do with sex now does it?
