Yes. I watched it the other day on Netflix and really enjoyed it. No idea how close it is to the book, but it was still fun.
I forget what it was but when I ordered a type of shrimp dish at a Chinese restaurant it was coated in a thick layer of bitter sauce, wasn't soy sauce though.
