Mississippi cheerleader Jessica Chambers found on fire next to her burning car: Father says she told
SHE was a blonde Mississippi teen cheerleader who went to get her car cleaned at the weekend. Hours later, she was found in agony on the side of a road — her face and body on fire.
Police now hope her final words will help lead to her killer.
The death of the 19-year-old Panola County woman has set the town of Courtland on edge.
Police say they received a call from a member of the public about 8pm Saturday, reporting a car on fire.
When police and fire services arrived, Jessica Chambers was found — alight — stumbling along the side of the road near her burning car.
The young woman — who worked at a department store and had cheered for a local high school — was rushed to a Memphis hospital where she later died from the burns which covered 98 per cent of her body.
But, according to her father, the terribly injured teen tried hard to tell police who had squirted cigarette lighter fluid down her throat and over her face before setting her alight.
Jesus Fucking Christ.
Who the fuck does that? Jesus Christ that sounds like an awful way to die.
It sounds like the attack was really, really personal.
Christ, that's terrible. Hope they find the fucker who did it.

I hope they find prints and DNA. That's not bad, that's down right...fucked.
I feel so bad for her parents. Burning to death basically eliminates the possibility of a traditional funeral.
But man this girl was tenacious as fuck, walking around conscious while on completely on fire is incredible. I really wonder whats standard protocol for fire services when they come on the scene and they see that.

-snip- Read personal as professional. I concur that it was a personal attack.
More like a crime of passion. Professionals dont pour lighter fluid down throats. Professionals know how to do it easily and clean.
He didn't say anything about it being professional. He said personal.

you sound like a professional serial killer
Holy fuck, if she actually managed to tell someone who did it after getting her throat and lungs literally set on fire, she had amazing willpower to withstand that pain.
Also I agree that it had to be personal, good rule of thumb is that if they go after the face it's most likely personal.

Or you know, a cop.
Light the criminal's car on fire (if they do manage a capture, that is).

You know it's possible to not drool over everything that has ovaries and is attractive
Sounds like something out of a horror movie

Whoops. Read that wrong. Edited for clarity
Well shit
Jessica is the second child the family has lost: Their son died in a car accident.
One child is terrible; two? :(

That makes you as bad as the criminal. What if the criminal's parents lost a child in a fire? A jail sentence of decent length is good enough. He'd probably get stabbed for it in there anyway.

Just the car - not the criminal.

It's still a terrible thing to do. Plus, what if the fire reaches the fuel tank? A car on my street was set alight once, and it was pretty much seconds away from burning the petrol before it was put out.
-snip- meh, I guess that joke was over the line

I really don't feel much from seeing these kind of articles anymore. Some poor schmuck I don't know died, who cares right?
Still gotta say I find it very sad to hear about parents who's had to experience the tragic loss of their child twice though.

I'd rather he just go to jail but w/e
I feel for that family. RIP
Almost startling when your last words aren't for love or peace, but for your own justice...RIP.

That would violate the eighth amendment. (No cruel and unusual punishment)
Also that's just stupid.
