Couldn't take the heat, I say from my sputtering Xbox One with less grass. Edit: aww, a bug.
HOW do you fuck up this hard with budget this massive and all hardware suppliers licking your balls just so you will gracefully allow their platform to host your AAA game? I mean, they could probably afford the best developers working on games, and they probably have all of Nvidia Microsoft and Sony on a hotline 24/7. How do they still manage to make a game this shit? Is all the coding secretly outsourced to india?
Why does the title say AC4? This is AC:U.
Why does the title say AC4? This is AC:U.
You guys remember when they said they would put a new iteration every time they switched characters?
You guys remember when they said they would put a new iteration every time they switched characters?
Following that logic, the thread should be titled AC5. Or is AC4 suddenly not AC4 now?
oh no it's a bug let's go back to raise our pitchforks at ubisoft for being such an evil company giving free games away for their customers
Why does the title say AC4? This is AC:U.
Because OP just doesnt give a fuck
oh no it's a bug let's go back to raise our pitchforks at ubisoft for being such an evil company giving free games away for their customers
It's only a free game if you bought their 60 dollar season pass, and even then, the games they give you are trifle in selection. Ubisoft's DLC have also never been really worth it. New assets are rarely added, and all that there is to do is the same shit you do in the base game.

I don't complain about the ''60 dollars'' because the actual price is 30 and it costed me basically 8 dollars in my local price (20 reais) and the options they are giving us are more than fair: their selection of 2014 (and even 2013) titles for YOU to choose (if you bought it that is). While I do agree some are useless, I have to say that AC3's Tyranny of King Washington had a LOT of new content. Same goes to pretty much Unity with a whole new story full of weapons AND a standalone 2.5d game. So yeah, the ''all that there is to do is the same shit you do in the base game'' pretty much applies to all games nowadays.
The season pass was $30.
But if you bought the $30 Season Pass, more than likely you also bought the $60 game. So you've still spent ~$90 for a broken game and a slightly less broken game.

So you've still spent ~$90 for a broken game and a slightly less broken game.
The pass is cheaper if you bought the Gold Edition, so it's not really that much for a ''broken game'', Unity has its flaws, too many for such title to be honest (I even think it should have been 2015) but it still is a good game, people only judge Ubisoft for graphical issues ever since Watch Dogs and it terribly bothers me this is the only point people make. Only graphics and visuals, no gameplay, or how they improved many aspects from previous games.
It's a bug only in that one area too, the rest of the game still looks the same.
Every thread like this usually revolves around not understanding how massive an undertaking a game is and how little time they've given.
ubisoft needs to make less games
Every thread like this usually revolves around not understanding how massive an undertaking a game is and how little time they've given.
I think everyone fully appreciates how long it takes to make a AAA title with any kind of quality to it, that's why its such a massive fuck up to try to rush one out in time to meet some weird game-a-year schedule.

holy shit, that's what next gen graphics look like? my 4 year old computer can make that game look better.
Implying Indian programmers are incompetent
No, implying outsourced code is inferior.
And since hating Ubisoft has become main stream since Watch_Dogs, I welcome all of the dumbs, it proves how many (and which) of you tend to think as a hivemind. Oh well, just like it happened EA, in a few months FP will have a ''hitler did nothing wrong'' scenario.
What in the actual fuck are you even talking about?
I used to really disagree on a part of Facepunch being a hivemind, and this is pretty much the case: every Ubisoft related post is either received with dumbs or funnies, misleading titles to make they sound even worse, games criticized by graphics and not gameplay, and such. tldr, just because at the moment all of the internet is hating on them, then people here will do it too, and just like they did with EA, later they'll find their actions cute or amazing. Oh well, hard to explain, but that should make some sense, if not, well, then nothing I can do.

Facepunch is susceptible to that sort of behavior.
even if it's a bug, how can you fuck up this bad
Game development is hard and shit happens.
even if it's a bug, how can you fuck up this bad
Very easily. It's a tiny portion that probably wasn't checked very well.
Game development is hard and shit happens.
Especially when you rush your games to be out in time for the holidays, and have very poor business practices.
Every thread like this usually revolves around not understanding how massive an undertaking a game is and how little time they've given.
It's still ubisoft's fault for rushing the game out the door
