HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (Reuters) - West Virginia Governor Jim Justice, standing next to President Donald Trump at a rally on Thursday night, announced that he was changing political parties, ditching the Democrats and joining Trump's Republicans.
"I can't help you anymore being a Democrat governor," Justice told the crowd. "So tomorrow I will be changing my registration to Republican," he said to loud cheers.
Justice, a billionaire businessman with interests in coal and agriculture, won election in November as a Democrat in his first attempt at political office. Until 2015, he had been a registered Republican.
What can he do better now that he's a republican

pad his already billionaire-pockets with more money at the expense of American citizens.
You know, like the GOP usually does.
not exactly like he was doing the democrats any favorites begin with. the dnc needs to take back some governors mansions soon but west virginia is a feudal state where billionares go to rule it seems.

lmao so he was already a party flipper. Did he go dem just to secure the vote in his area? Does something like that fall under gerrymandering-related kind of laws?
Jesus, that last paragraph is downright Orwellian.

Yeah kinda sounds like he briefly switched to dem because he thought he had a better chance of getting elected as one.
Another fat cat billionaire leech latching on to whatever sow bleeds to most.
Really picked a brilliant time to switch sides right as the Russia investigation starts to solidify. We should tar and feather these fucks when it's all over with, or maybe brand them with an iron on the forehead so they can be shamed for the rest of their lives for participating in and enabling this travesty of a presidency.
Can I have my vote back?

You can vote for any party you like as long as it's republican.

These people firmly believe that the Russia investigation is a political witchhunt that will not go anywhere.

Save his re-election campaign. That's all this is.
