Yesterday, in the course of the regular inspection of its premises, UNRWA discovered approximately 20 rockets hidden in a vacant school in the Gaza Strip. UNRWA strongly condemns the group or groups responsible for placing the weapons in one of its installations. This is a flagrant violation of the inviolability of its premises under international law. This incident, which is the first of its kind in Gaza, endangered civilians including staff and put at risk UNRWA’s vital mission to assist and protect Palestine refugees in Gaza. Immediately after discovery, the Agency informed the relevant parties and successfully took all necessary measures for the removal of the objects in order to preserve the safety and security of the school. UNRWA has launched a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident. Really? Hamas hides rockets in schools? That's never happened before!
Read before you're offended people.
Like if they shouldn't be offended ffs
Even if it's vacant it's still a school.
Even if it's vacant it's still a school.
Before somebody gets huffy about this, consider: You don't have to be in school to use the playground, or to even just chill out. Plus it's an UNRWA building, and if the IDF found this and not UNRWA, the IDF's track record indicates that things would get very difficult for the organization and their work would be severely hindered. Explosives are no joke. Anyone who has worked with them or understands them will be able to tell you that storing them is an iffy business no matter what you do. They're inherently chemically unstable, that's why they explode and are vulnerable to all sorts of hazards. This is why ammunition bunkers are isolated buildings and they're not very big to begin with, any explosion that may happen is mitigated in size and impact on surrounding structures and personnel. Obviously a school is not an okay place to store rockets, especially rockets with home-mixed fuel and warheads in facilities that cannot guarantee their purity which directly affects how safe they are to store and handle.
Even if it's vacant it's still a school.
Even if it's a school it's still vacant.
Even if it's a school it's still vacant.
So, had Israel bombed the place you would her no complaints from neither the Palestinians nor UNRWA about Israel exploding schools. Right.
Read before you're offended people.
probably vacant because there's big rockets hidden in there
So, had Israel bombed the place you would her no complaints from neither the Palestinians nor UNRWA about Israel exploding schools. Right.
we would still be saying the same thing. "At least it was vacant."
Even if it's a school it's still vacant.
Even if it's Vacant, its still a School.
We should get Israel or Hamas ratings in this section.
