Eyewitnesses reported that during last night’s 9:15pm Real3D screening of Gravity, a lone man (later identified as retired ISS Commander Chris Hadfield) began muttering under his breath and chuckling to himself. By the 30-minute mark, Hadfield reportedly made numerous rude comments such as, “Nice Soyuz procedure, Hollywood!” and “Oh yeah, because that’s what hypoxia as caused by rapid cabin decompression looks like you idiots!.”
“It was the damndest thing,” recounted Isabelle Tremblay. “My boyfriend and I were like, ‘what a jerk’, and he went back to talk to him. But then he came back to our seats and he was like ‘I’m pretty sure that was that astronaut guy. You know, from the news.’ So we just let him go. I mean, what do you do? An astronaut probably gets George Clooney’s character struggles a little better than I do.”
Hadfield’s alleged berating of the film continued unabated. During one crucial and deathly silent scene involving Sandra Bullock’s character’s desperate attempt to reach her vessel and avoid dying in the void of space, the man who brought honour and fun to Canadian space exploration let out a long, piercing, and altogether perfect fart. What happens when you let a astronaut watch a science fiction movie.

I'd probably laugh too if I knew the real facts.
Not only was this posted yesterday (and closed), the OP got banned for posting satire.
So.....
Late post, satire news source, nothing to see here.
Well damn, searched the forums but couldn't find the other thread.
Sorry guys.
Slow news day?

i bet he'd been holding that in since he boarded the ISS

I wouldn't. Really, why can't people just enjoy fiction for fiction?
The Beaverton is a news satire and parody publication . All articles contained within this website, however similar to real events, are fictitious. When public figures are mentioned by name, the corresponding story details are invented. In all other cases, any resemblance to actual persons or events is entirely coincidental.
For a moment I thought it was real news, and was truly shocked.

you can check out whether or not most sites are satirical by looking at their "about us" page if you can't already tell by the headlines.[/QUOTE]

come on
Haha, I did actually laugh at some things that happened in the movie. Didn't stop me from enjoying though!
This reminds me of when Soldiers watch war movies and talk about everything the actors and director got wrong :v:
Cops hate cop movies, Soldiers hate soldier movies, Pilots laugh at the ridiculous reenactments and Hijacking movies, Even if this were true, I'd have no trouble believing an astronaut would laugh at Gravity
I think the only few War Movies which went and did a few things right were Blackhawk Down and Battle LA funny enough. I mean I'm pretty sure the Marines in Battle LA had cheap replica rucks, but other than that you could tell real Marines instructed their movements

And when they get it right they might kill some old warvet like that guy who watched Saving Private Ryan and died of a heartattack
Still a dick move though, come on people paid to see the film. At least shut the fuck up and let the rest of them enjoy it.
