It's unclear if this is a straight port or a full remaster, but we could be getting our hands on it very soon. Trophy lists only appear when a game is very close to its release, which points to an imminent launch of this classic zombie adventure.
Source Trophy Listing Really excited for this since I thought the original Dead Rising was the best out of all the games released so far. Hoping this also means there's a chance it'll have a PC port eventually. [editline]I covered shitposting, you know[/editline] Confirmed! Not only that but also a PC and Xbox One release!
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-07-18-looks-like-the-original-dead-rising-is-headed-to-ps4 "Capcom will be bringing Dead Rising to Xbox One, PS4 and PC. In addition, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will make their way onto Xbox One and PS4. We will have more news to share soon."
Hoping this also comes to pc and Xbox next gen.
Would love for this to be some type of remaster. DR1 is by far the best in the series in terms of atmosphere.

Awesome, I always wanted to play the first game but never had a 360. I'll get this for sure.
Fucking nostalgia. I would definitely welcome a PC port/remake.
Please come to PC.
demon's souls port please thanks.
Don't worry guys, there's always the Wii version :v:
If this ends up happening, that would be awesome, but it's gonna be really hard starting over. The first time I played Deadrising, it was unforgiving and a pain in the ass, but once you get the mega buster after dedicating your life to the game, it's a cake walk.
Fuck I really hope it comes to PC as well. It's the one Dead Rising game that I've never played, and I probably wont be able to unless emulation for Xbox gets good.
Trophies hype, because all thats' matter.
Yes please. When I got to the end of the game I only had a half an hour of in game time to get to the final case and it was almost impossible and ended up settling with the bad endings because I didn't want to go the whole game again just for a better ending. It's been a while so maybe I'll get down to replaying it again.
Can't wait to get that 7 day survivor trophy again :suicide:
I managed to finish 7 Day Survivor and feel it warrants mentioning on my CV.
7 Day Survivor would actually be a lot less of a bitch on a ps4 version, since you could just suspend the system and come back to it later as long as you're not playing anything else. Unless they take that into consideration and make it so if you suspend it you fail Infinity Mode or something.
Better be coming to PC too.
Give me a PC version with some small mechanic improvements like controls and we'll be gold.
I fully expect it to come to PC and Xbone as well, it's just that it leaked through PSN.
It will be great to play this game again now that I actually have a "HD" set up. Makes no sense that this would only be ported to PS4 and not Xbone or PC, so I'll say this is just the first little way that its been leaked. Never played Dead Rising 1 but DR2 and DR2 OTR are great fun in coop. Even though controls aren't best and need a lot of refinement, they are still fun games. And Frank West is a fun character in DR2 OTR, although Chuck is great as well.
Cool, will I be able to read the text this time?
it makes sense for this to exist as the orignal dead rising will be ten years old on august 8th, so a remaster or port would be perfect to celebrate
You gotta eat though.
Well yeah but not everyone can just sit down and play a game for 14 hours straight in one sitting. That was mainly what I meant.
OH MY GOD YES. I have been wanting this to leave the 360 (we ignore the Wii version) for years now, now I can sell my 360.
I hope they add more time for the various events. As much as I like Dead Rising, it was something an absolute hassle to escort people around and be on time for other events. It was just frustrating.

I still have to finish Halo ODST, Halo 4, and Saints Row 1. Fuck exclusives that stay exclusive years after release. Microsoft isn't even getting anything from my purchase. I bought my console second-hand, my games pre-owned, etc. If they want my money, a PC port would be in their best interest. If it's a remaster, I'm hoping they add an optional Dead Rising 3 mode where shit's got longer timers for casual players and add in co-op. I mean yeah it might piss off some purists that want everyone to experience it in SP with extreme time constraints, but they'll buy it anyway and not adding them only serves to lose them sales from people that enjoyed 3 and disliked the others.

Would fucking love for this to be true. Dead Rising 1 was my absolute favorite entry in the series. Dead Rising 2 and OTR were decent, but its just that, they were decent. Dead Rising 1 absolutely kicked ass. Just wish it came to PS3, I'd love for an excuse to play it again.
I honestly enjoyed 2 a bit more. But only by a bit. Everyone loves Frank but I think Chuck's a far better character
DR2 had better gameplay and save features, but I still think DR1 was the best. DR1 was just a more serious game, it was like a horror with minor comedic stuff you could do. DR2 kind of took the concept to a more exaggerated/comedic premise and the series rolled with it.
