I don't really know much about fantasy movies, was wondering if you guys knew some good fantasy movies. Simple.
Willow, Dragonheart.

I second this.
The Terry Pratchett movies are awesome aswell.
The Princess Bride
The Dark Crystal
Labyrinth
Legend
el laberinto del fauno
I actually quite enjoyed the first Chronicles of Narnia film. Does that make me a bad person?

i kind of enjoyed it too, having not really read the narnia series (i started then got distracted with schoolwork and haven't picked them up again since).
also for the list: pan's labyrinth.
Stardust (2007) is an alright film, it's not high fantasy or epic like LOTR but it's good. And Robert De Niro plays a gay/camp pirate captain.

It's not bad. Not exceptional but not bad either. My biggest problem is Aslan really, as awesome as Liam Neeson is it's hard to take him seriously as Aslan, especially when the lion graphics are so bad.
Now Prince Caspian was pretty bad.

What the fuck am I thinking, The Never Ending Story man.
Watch it.
It's sequel is a bit of a fuck cake of shit, but it's a very beautifully made movie nonetheless. I'd say give that a shot too.

Didn't he say the 'first'? Being what I consider the original (I hope) 'The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe' and they use a puppet Aslan, which I think is easier to grasp / believe because it's real. Love it.
I second The Never Ending Story :D
el laberinto del fauno
this. English title is Pan's Labyrinth. It's a subbed Spanish film but don't let that prevent you from seeing it.

Aslan was never outside of a computer, where'd you get that idea from? Unless there's some Narnia movie from the 80s/90s I don't know of.

I can't believe that people from the UK and the US actually don't want to watch movies with subtitles. Can't they read or something?

Amazing movie.

No I just mean the 'recent' first one, with the CGI Aslan.
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within
Pan's Labyrinth.
:iia:
I like the Narnia movies, they're way more child friendly than the books but still a fun watch.

I fucking loved Stardust. I never heard about it until 2009 and I watched it on Film4 like two nights in a row. It's awesome.

Also I'm going to post Eragon as a fantasy movie, can't remember if it's actually good though. I think it was worth watching it on Bluray at least.
The movie was shit, don't bother with it.
Don't bother with the books either tbh.
I liked the Eragon books not the best fantasy book ever but not bad
the movie was really bad like really really bad
Whoa Pan's Labyrinth has got 98/100 on metacritic!

I'm gonna check this out.
Pan's Labyrinth was a good movie.
I forgot about Stardust, it is corny as fuck and one of the sappiest love stories I've seen in a while but the movie is just so damn fun. Love Mark Strong and his brothers competing for the crown of their dad who is Lawrence of Arabia.

The movie was so inaccurate, it made me fucking sick, I can't believe I watched the whole thing.

When I watched Pan's Labyrinth. I was wasn't expecting the stuff you see in the beginning (the fascist father/leader and the two villagers, for people who have seen the movie).

I haven't seen it in a while and yeah it is kind of corny, but the brothers parts were great :v:
