One of the funniest stories ever told on national tv
Reminds me of this
I wonder why!
Reminds me of this
I think that's why he took a hiatus for a couple of years, wasn't it?
I think that's why he took a hiatus for a couple of years, wasn't it?
Comedy central tried to take over his programming and get him to do sketches he didn't want to do. So he told them to fuck off and went to africa.
Not entirely true. CC offered him 50 million for two more years carte blanche and his staff literally turned $evil$ overnight. That combined with a couple of white stage hands laughing a little too hard at one of his more blatantly racist sketches pretty much turned him off to what he was doing. You'll notice his new stand up isn't even kind of like this. The best part of this sketch is what you never see; Charlie Murphy is not trying to be funny at all. If you watch the entire unedited interview, not only is he deadpan serious, he's genuinely mad.
see, this is before Wesley Snipes
Part 3 is missing and it's perhaps the best one out of the bunch.
Funny story; my uncle works out in Dayton, nearby where he lives. One of his friends he works with always rides bikes with a bunch of other guys. I guess one day they were all doing wheelies n' shit, Dave was walking down the street, and he (in flaily Dave Chappelle fashion) threw his arms up in the air and kept yelling, "rev it harder! Woooooo!" A bunch of people I know have met him at the mall n' stuff, supposedly he's a really nice guy and down to earth.

He was the funniest comedian ever and he wasn't afraid to show his human side as well. Truly the funniest and most down to earth person on stage. For anyone who hasn't watched chappelle show, I highly suggest bingewatching every episode there is.

"Shoot the J, shoot it!"
"Why don't you go purify yourself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka?"

I remember this...Although with Dragon Ball characters where Broly was voiced by Rick James.
I miss this show wayne brady gonna have to choke a bitch?
When did this air? 2006 or so?
When did this air? 2006 or so?
2003, It took season three two years before dave would agree to do it. And It was only like 3 episodes.
He also has 2 DVDs of his stand ups. Go watch them in case you haven't seen them already. They're hilarious:
I met him in Albuquerque when he was literally nobody, and he was funny as fuck then, and HBO crew came down and filmed him there as his first televised stand-up, and he had the spark then. It's a shame that he let his own views affect him that much, cause he was telling some good troofs on both sides of the fence.
