The Conservatives will fight the coming general election under the slogan "vote for change", the party has revealed on the eve of its spring conference. Leader David Cameron is expected to tell delegates at the two-day event starting in Brighton on Saturday that the party can offer people real change. Recent polls have suggested that its lead over Labour may be narrowing. The conference begins a week after Gordon Brown revealed Labour's election slogan of "a future fair for all".
Source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8540113.stm Glad to see Cameron is being original. I'd rather vote for Malcolm Tucker:
Old people scared of change will vote for them, oh wait those are called republicans.
Urgh David Cameron. I fucking hate this guy. Vote Liberal, because it's the only choice we have left. It's so depressing how so many morons in this country just read newspapers and go "oh noes Labour is bad cos.... cos... they're bad" and choose to vote Conservative. It's especially sad when it's working-class people, the folk who voting Conservative is going to effect the most.. for the worse.

Vote for Labour: Because let's be honest, it's either us or David Cameron.
vote ukip :patriot:
Vote UKIP: let's be honest, at this point you don't really give a shit anymore.
For a second I thought this was something about Canada, next time put "British Conservatives"
For a second I thought this was something about Canada, next time put "British Conservatives"
Yeah. Sorry the thread cost you those precious ten seconds.

It's such a shame that all the good changes and improvements for the long term the Labour govt. has done will now be vanquished by the Tories. tanj
vote ukip :patriot:
no vote bnp!!!!
I hate any person or political party who's slogan has the word "change" in it. It's so vague and unoriginal.
Anyone else find it odd that the conservatives want change
change what?
change what?
Exactly.
In The Loop was hilarious.
Vote for Labour: Because let's be honest, it's either us or David Cameron.
Or vote someone else, like UKIP? The thing is, if people go out and vote with the mindset of "oh, all the three main parties are crap so I will just vote for the current one", then this means that all the smaller parties will stay as just that - small. By voting for other parties and giving them a chance to expand people will be giving greater choice for future elections. Otherwise we will always be stuck with Labour, the Tories and the Lib Dems.
Sadly, BNP is rising in popularity, even thought they won't win this time and most likely won't for a while, they could possibly have a chance of winning in the future.
Or vote someone else, like UKIP?
Fact is, it's a two party system, it's gonna be Labour or Conservatives at the end of the day, people like UKIP will never ever get into power due to the way the system operates, even the Lib Dems have very little chance of getting into power. Maybe if we get the AV system, the smaller parties may do slightly better.
Fact is, it's a two party system, it's gonna be Labour or Conservatives at the end of the day, people like UKIP will never get into power.
Yeah, but that's the problem. People don't seem to actually put any effort into voting - they just seem to vote based on what they have seen on TV and/or just because they are already in power (in the case of Labour). I wonder how many people have actually read the manifesto of the smaller parties? I've read quite a few, hell I even read the BNP manifesto (and like quite a few points, but not all), and I try to actually get a better of what the parties intend to do before I go voting. I think saying "I won't vote for X party because they aren't likely to win" is an extremely closed minded way to vote.
Sadly, BNP is rising in popularity, even thought they won't win this time and most likely for a while, they could possibly have a chance of winning in the future.
I'm still holding out hope that there's enough rational people in the UK to prevent this
I want to see something like this in the U.S. Glenn Beck would shit himself if he saw his face on an ad like that.
This isn't America.
But you stole our damn campaign slogan.
1337isdead should post his images soon, if not I will.
For a second I thought this was something about Canada, next time put "British Conservatives"
Cept we don't have general elections, whereas the UK is having one anytime now [editline]09:57PM[/editline] we just have federal and provincial. Municipal doesn't count.
Aren't conservatives and change a complete contradiction?
David Cameron is a cunt.
Aren't conservatives and change a complete contradiction?
Yes. We have a party in Canada called the progressive conservatives. Oxymoron.
Fuck change, I want a big stack of Benjamins.
