Uh-oh, this isn't promising. Especially after how poorly received the beta was, plus their reasoning just seems to be utter bollocks. The footage in the background doesn't look terrible, but this is never good, I'll just wait for a few weeks I think.
Go check the Doom thread, the responses are actually that it's good so far.
I'll likely buy the game after some die hard modders give the game some spring cleaning. [T]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/71184478/ShareX/2016/05/chrome_2016-05-12_19-51-39.png[/T] I'm not the only one with this right? Not everyone has the internet for 60fps. :(
who cares, oh no ill have to wait an extra day for people to review it the world is ending
who cares, oh no ill have to wait an extra day for people to review it the world is ending
It's kinda douchey to reviewers for the reasons he explains in the videos, and it's a sign of lack of confidence on Beth's part... also, they game a bollocks reason why they didn't give the code out.
The multiplayer was outsourced and I don't think anyone's buying this primarily for the MP.
who cares, oh no ill have to wait an extra day for people to review it the world is ending
In the games review sphere, not getting review copies for a game as opposed to early copies with a reviews embargo in place could be considered a bad omen for the final quality of the game.
who cares, oh no ill have to wait an extra day for people to review it the world is ending
It's not about waiting an extra day for reviews. Sometimes when review copies aren't sent out, it's because the game is incredibly unoptimized and runs like shit and the publisher is hoping they can con more people with preorders
In the games review sphere, not getting review copies for a game as opposed to early copies with a reviews embargo in place could be considered a bad omen for the final quality of the game.
It's generally considered a very bad sign when movies don't allow pre-release reviews.
Isn't there leveling up in the single player? Not good.

I still wouldn't bash the game into the ground, but I'd just be a bit cautious if anything.
It's generally considered a very bad sign when movies don't allow pre-release reviews.
It also makes less sense for this game because for example the Division didn't send out review copies because it's a mostly online only game meant to have a big population of players for it to be fully experienced (and people were still pretty unhappy about that for the division too)
Isn't there leveling up in the single player? Not good.
If there is I bet it's going to be like The New Order's "leveling" which was 99% "You get an extra dongus for your gun if you complete XYZ challenge"
Isn't there leveling up in the single player? Not good.
How is that not good? It probably doesn't impacts the way you play to a point that it changes it too much.
well I got it on sale for like 40% off so eh
I don't see the issue here. Just wait a few days. Or if you don't like it the first 2 hours, refund it.
It's not about waiting an extra day for reviews. On a GTX 660 with a shitty AMD Phenom. Albeit, I have to run it on the lowest settings with FXAA and still at 1080p, but it still looks gorgeous and runs at 60 fps.
I don't see the issue here. Just wait a few days. Or if you don't like it the first 2 hours, refund it.
This if the game doesn't work there will be mash steam refunds

[editline]12th May 2016[/editline]
How is that not good? You find upgrades for your suit, upgrades for your guns that can give them special functions ontop of the weapon mods you can find for them, and Demon Runes that can be slotted 3 at a time to give you different benefits as you so please. There's no actual level-up system, just finding secret upgrades to boost your efficiency.
Go check the Doom thread, the responses are actually that it's good so far.
Lmao lets go check the thread where you'd expect everyone to like it.
Lmao lets go check the thread where you'd expect everyone to like it.
If people haven't already preordered it (myself included), they're extremely weary about it. Almost the entire net is weary about it, although god only knows what the average consumer ponders in this situation.
No review copies until launch or close to launch isn't as rare as everyone is making this out to be. Destiny Every recent Ubisoft game (AC: Unity, The Crew, The Division) Every recent WB game (Arkham Knight, Mad Max, Shadow of Mordor, Dying Light) Sims 4 etc. I'm not in favor of it, but still. At least in WB's case they do it for marketing reasons to get the press boom consolidated into the launch window.

[editline]12th May 2016[/editline] Also, Ubisoft and WB aren't known for good relationships with critics and consumers.
As posted in the DOOM thread. Here's what it looks like when played by someone used to mouse and kb. Actually looks pretty good.
post
I didn't say it doesn't bode well or some shit, I just said it's not uncommon. Personally, I think Doom will be fine. It's a game where you shoot demons to death repeatedly. If you buy it you know what you're getting. (Also, steam refunds)
Lmao lets go check the thread where you'd expect everyone to like it.
So you actually think that every megathread is a circlejerk? lol nice
Did the people saying they don't see why this is an issue even watch the video? I mean I can get arguing against TB's points, but he explains why he thinks this is an issue. But outright not acknowledging his points is a bit odd.
