Even indirect criticism of the authoritarian government has been banned, Asian media reported. Residents were warned against criticising the state in a series of mass meetings held by functionaries across the country. “One state security official personally organised a meeting to alert local residents to potential ‘hostile actions’ by internal rebellious elements,” a source in Jagang Province told Radio Free Asia’s Korean Service. “The main point of the lecture was ‘Keep your mouths shut.’” The caution was also issued in neighbouring Yangang Province, sources revealed. Officials told people that sarcastic expressions such as “This is all America’s fault” would constitute unacceptable criticism of the regime.
*Nods* 30 years in the gulag for you
What a great idea!
So basically this gives un the right to kill anybody regardless of whether they are legitimately agreeing with him or not. He can just say they were being sarcastic. Jesus, it's not like kim jong un needs a reason to kill more people in his country. I thought he just did that regardless of intent.
All thanks to our glorious(!) leader!
Such a wonderful plan instilled by the world's greatest leader.
Congratulations, the North Korean special forces are now tracking your ass. Prepare to face trial, you traitor. At-least, if they had any. :V
I'm sure it'll go well.
North Korea, again, showing how much better they are than the evil western dogs.
“This is all America’s fault”
I wonder if that is a joke over there, sorta like people here saying "thanks Obama".
I have always said that I don't think North Korean citizens are truly as brainwashed as people tend to think. If the government thinks "This is all America's fault" is sarcastically stated frequently enough that it needs to be banned, then there you go. It's a literal mockery of the roots of their propaganda; how many do you think believe the rest of it?
is this even real?? [editline]8th September 2016[/editline] onion
How do they know when someone is praising the regime unironically, or is it obvious at this point that nobody would?
Will this result in North Korea literally inventing a sarcasm detector?
Will this result in North Korea literally inventing a sarcasm detector?
Nah it'd go berserk at the thought of North Korea being a country
Genius. Pure genius.
Dear Kim Jong-un, Fuck you. Sincerely, the people of Earth.
Oh, I don't see what could possibly go wrong with this. North Korea has never had problems with things like this before, and this is totally in line with human rights. It's not like Kim Jong-Un's crazy or something. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to fend off twenty North Korean death squads.
I take it they have practically banned anyone who's British now.
Dear Kim Jong-un, Fuck you. Sincerely, the people of Earth.
Well, you aren't being sarcastic at least.
Congratulations, the North Korean special forces are now tracking your ass. Prepare to face trial, you traitor. At-least, if they had any. :V
They do though, and they've kidnapped people from all over the world
UPDATE: This just in, Borth Korea banned Deja Vu. You know that feeling where you feel like an instance of your past is happening exactly as it did? Well If kim catches you feeling that you're DEAD. DEAD.
Good I never was comfortable witb sarcasm anywy so now directly expressing my mind is a requirement FUCK YOU KIM JUNG UN HANG YOURSELF AND THEN WUARTER YOURSELF AND HAVE YOUR BITS AND PIECES BE EATEN BY RABID FUCKING DOGS AND LET YOUR BONES BE GROUND TO GLUE checkmate you fuckhead I'm being dead honest can't send those death squads to me now muahahaha
AND LET YOUR BONES BE GROUND TO GLUE
I don't know about you but I'd buy some kim jong un glue. I'm sure it would be worth a shit load on the market. Who wouldn't want to be like " hey you see this glue? It's made out of kim jong uns bones" fucking metal.

It's made out of kim jong uns bones" fucking metal.
it'd be the only worth his crappy fucking shitridden body has... and even then the stickyness of it would last for just a second, because itself realises what it was made from and goes fuck that shit
it'd be the only worth his crappy fucking shitridden body has... and even then the stickyness of it would last for just a second, because itself realises what it was made from and goes fuck that shit
sentient kim jong glue becomes depressed at what a sticky mess he has become. I can see the sensational news titles now.

North Korea's regime does whatever is damn well pleases
I'm surprised that north korea has lasted as long as it has. Hopefully something that fucks over the government happens soon.
Officials told people that sarcastic expressions such as “This is all America’s fault”
Heartwarming that we the rest of the world share such cultural mainstays with this Hermit Nation
North Korea effectively being run by a 12 year old dark RP server admin.

I think this is more telling about north koreas internal politic state then anything... its smoke in the field. Perhaps not a fire... but smoke none the less.
