I'm really not a fan of devs being allowed to bump up their prices in Early Access. It seems like an easy way to try and force people to gamble on buying a grossly incomplete game in hopes that it gets finished or just paying more later when/if it is.
It's not just early access, I believe the FO4 devs also price-bumped their season pass. I bet that anyone is allowed to do it. In this case, though, I wouldn't say it's completely unjustified. Dead Cells is already an incredibly good game with a bunch of content, and it's well worth it and very polished. It's better than most indies that aren't EA. I wouldn't say that you're "gambling" anything by buying it now.

Furthermore how can devs really estimate when it's worth to bump up the price tag of the game? I feel like often it's really hard to quantify or measure some sort of quality that would represent the added value to a game. It often seems like lines are pretty blurred when it comes to EA titles, mostly because devs tend to promise way to much. There should be some set rules or restrictions on the pricing.
I think it's fine to ramp up the cost of the game as it's being developed.
